I discovered Park Café on Google Maps and decided to give their brunch menu a try. It’s a quaint smaller café, but we easily secured an outdoor table around 10:30 am without a reservation. It started to get busier around 11 am. Their breakfast sandwich, eggs Benedict, and latte were all enjoyable. They also had a selection of alcohol, including wine and beer, at very reasonable prices. The bakery goods looked incredibly tasty, especially the cheesecake. The size of the café is perfect for solo customers or small groups. We spent two hours there chatting and never felt rushed by the staff. The café is nestled in a quiet neighborhood and offers a heated patio, so you can bring your furry friend along. The food is consistently good, and they provide generous portions. Moreover, the staff at Park Café, especially Maura, went above and beyond for my wedding day, creating a truly magical experience. The food was the talk of the event, with the spinach dip being a standout. Maura was extremely helpful in every step of the planning and execution for the day, even helping with decorations. The day went even smoother than I expected, allowing me to look back fondly on my wedding day. I'd recommend Park Café for anyone hosting a smaller event; be it a wedding, birthday party or shower. You won't regret it!

My visit to Eclipse Bistro for brunch in Wilmington was an absolute delight. The food was indeed excellent but the real standout was the exceptional service. Every detail was seen to, ensuring a near perfect dining experience. There's room for improvement when it comes to their cocktails, but overall, this place is definitely worth a visit. I ventured there for dinner one night with a friend and was startled by the quality. Four beautifully seared scallops served over a delicate mush, the flavors danced on my tongue and left a lingering umami finish. The presentation was spot on as well, compelling me to snap a photograph for posterity. The restaurant holds a special place in my heart as it was here that my fiancée and I celebrated our engagement. Elijah and Nick went out of their way to make the evening memorable for us. They treated us to a scrumptious dessert and a tangy limoncello, creating a perfect end to our meal. On each subsequent visit, I've been blown away by the consistent quality of both food and service. My favorite dish is the chicken and ricotta meatballs, an absolutely tantalizing treat. A dirty martini with Bleu cheese olives has quickly become my go-to drink here, thanks to the attentive bartenders, Reagan and Andrew, who remember my order and serve it with a smile. Eclipse Bistro is my new favorite spot and I can't recommend it highly enough. The staff is friendly and professional, the patrons are congenial, and the overall ambiance is inviting. I had been meaning to visit Angelo's Luncheonette in Wilmington for quite a while and I finally had the chance recently. I must say, the place has an old school charm that is quite appealing. The interior is small, yet cozy and you can tell it's a popular spot for regulars – always a good sign. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome and valued. Now, coming to the food, it was quite good and surprisingly affordable. I opted for breakfast but they also had an impressive range of lunch options on their menu. Please note, this is a gem that's only open on weekdays and they only accept cash, which contributes to the old-school feel. Despite not being overly impressed with the food, what will bring me back to Angelo's is the ambiance and the hospitality. It's comforting to find a place where you feel safe and wanted, and this neighborhood joint offers exactly that. On passing by this place for years, grabbing a delicious turkey sandwich for lunch was a delightful experience. The service, as always, was excellent and friendly. One point to note for anyone considering a visit - all their breakfast meat is pork. Despite that, I was completely taken in by the nice, clean, and cozy settings of this luncheonette. I plan on returning, perhaps to try their lunch options next time. Angelo's Luncheonette is definitely a place worth visiting for its welcoming staff and good food offered in a comfortable setting.

I had a fantastic experience at Faire Cafe! My entire family and I really enjoyed our brunch there. We were delighted by the unique selection of toasts and coffees, which were not only presented beautifully but also tasted great. I appreciated the healthy options and catering for everyone's tastes. The service was welcoming and amiable, and the overall atmosphere was really cool, especially with the swing chairs, which added a fun touch. The cafe itself was a lovely discovery in Wilmington and a brilliant addition to our local dining scene. The industrial decor juxtaposed with island furniture and lighting was fascinating, and the swingset 'chairs' hanging from iron piping were an unexpected but pleasant surprise! I was also pleased to see they have a bar for adult beverages apart from the coffee offerings. The barista was friendly and chatted with us, making the visit even more enjoyable. If I lived closer than Durham, NC, I'd definitely be a regular. I didn't notice a food menu, but the divine mocha latte warrants a 5-star rating anyway. In addition to the great brunch, I found the cafe's interior aesthetically pleasing, ideal for relaxing, catching up on work, or spending time with friends or family. To top it off, the vegan sausage was incredibly tasty! Found this place by chance while walking in Downtown Wilmington, and I was struck by the beautiful decoration and the quaint yet sophisticated atmosphere. My server, Justin, was friendly and helpful and the food and coffee were excellent. I will undoubtedly return and would urge anyone in the area to stop by and support this delightful new cafe and restaurant.

I recently used Urban Cafe for a conference in Wilmington that lasted four days and I must say, their service was exceptional. They were incredibly responsive and accommodating to our changing orders and delivery schedules. The food was consistently excellent with a different variety of tasty options each day. Additionally, their pricing is quite reasonable. The staff was a delight - friendly, professional and always on time. Urban Cafe was highly recommended to me and now, I understand why. I wholeheartedly endorse them as well! A big thank you to Bee and the entire Urbane Cafe team! Their catering service was a huge help during the conference. They made everything straightforward and flawless. Our event ran smoothly and the food was beyond delicious. Indeed, their attention to detail is commendable. I'm definitely looking forward to working with them again. In terms of breakfast, I was rather impressed. It was served hot, was in large quantities, tasted fresh, felt homemade and was generously proportioned. Even though I had a less-than-ideal experience a month later with a cold breakfast and smaller portions, I still believe in their potential and would be willing to give them another shot. I've also been there for lunch a couple of times and the food from the grill was amazing. Louis, the server, was a nice guy who knew his stuff and definitely provided great service. Overall, my experiences at Urban Cafe have been exceedingly positive. Whether it's their food, service, or the overall ambiance, they've got it all covered!

Priced at just $10, this deal includes breakfast potatoes, a choice of meat, toast, and coffee. Despite the bustling Sunday morning crowd, which primarily includes church-goers, the diverse patrons add to the charming ambiance of this spot. The hard-working servers do an impressive job at ensuring everyone is attended to without delay. It's the sort of place I'd frequent for breakfast if I lived nearer. A mention-worthy feature of the diner is the use of Homer Loughlin mugs and plates, adding to the cozy atmosphere. The eggs and home fries are simply delicious, and I appreciate the proactive refilling of my coffee without having to request it. Their cheesesteak seems to be of the "Steak-umm’s" brand and, though the English muffin on my breakfast sandwich was a bit hard, the breakfast special was altogether tasty and well-priced. I was delighted to find that they customized my order, creating a delectable Philly Steak omelette that was perfectly cooked and not at all greasy. Their home fries were well seasoned and made an excellent side dish. What I particularly appreciated was how reasonable the prices were. It's rare to find such quality cuisine at such a competitive cost, making this local eatery a must-visit place for breakfast. The staff were so friendly and efficient, even during their busiest hours, ensuring my food was served promptly. Now, although the potatoes could have used a bit more seasoning to my liking, overall, the food was extremely satisfying. I stopped by for a quick bite and was met with fast and pleasant service. Being a first-time visitor to Delaware, I was introduced to scrapple, an intriguing local dish that pairs wonderfully with hot sauce. The interior of the Sterling Grille is impeccably clean and inviting, attesting to their commitment to their food and customers. I am already excited to return for lunch. I made a decision to pop into Pinji's Cafe in Wilmington for brunch on a whim and I'm glad I did. The food was good, I wouldn't necessarily call it great but it was satisfying. I particularly relished the avocado sandwich and eggs with bacon I ordered. The atmosphere inside the cafe was pleasing, a good spot to relax. However, there were a couple of things that I think could have been better. I was not pleased with the latte I ordered and I feel like the service could use some improvement. There was a mix-up with my order, I had to remind them about my toast and latte. Beyond these, I enjoyed my experience at Pinji's Cafe. I appreciate the fact that they have vegan-friendly options available and I'm thrilled to have discovered this gem so close to Trolley Square. The patio and free wifi are a great plus too. I've heard good things about their Ramen noodles and I can't wait to return for a taste. All in all, Pinji's Cafe can be a great alternative to traditional fast food places like Dunkin Donuts. With a more diverse menu and a comfortable atmosphere, it can certainly enhance your brunch experience. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

I recently had a family get-together at Kid Shelleen's in Trolley Square, Wilmington, and I have to say, I was quite pleased. I initially recommended the place based on their extensive menu and high Google rating, and I was not disappointed. The food was good, with standout dishes like their exceptional burgers. Plus, their warm apple crisp dessert was a delightful surprise. I frequent this place every Monday night with the Rainbow Chorale of Delaware, and the restaurant never disappoints, even when we bring our large groups. The wait staff deserves a mention as well. They were very professional and handled our group efficiently, despite our late arrivals. While the prices may be a bit high, in my opinion, the quality of food and service makes it worth every penny. The restaurant is also conveniently located in Trolley Square with ample parking, which is another huge plus. One of the menu items that really stood out for me was the Dubliner Burger which, simply put, was quite tasty. Special mention to our server, Patrick T, who enhanced our dining experience with his outstanding service. The restaurant also offers a nice outdoor seating area that should be quite popular during the summer, as well as a cozy indoor fireplace for the winter. However, one tiny issue that I noticed was with the chorizo gravy and biscuits. They were not quite as expected but still rather delicious. Overall, Kid Shelleen's provided an incredible brunch experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the Wilmington area looking for a great meal. I recently had brunch at Connie's Chicken and Waffles and was pleasantly satisfied with my experience. I appreciated the smooth online ordering system they have set up; I was able to pick up my food significantly earlier than expected which was a major time-saver. I tried their signature chicken and waffles and a half and half peach tea. The red velvet waffle paired with chicken tenders was absolutely outstanding; easily one of the best waffles I've ever had. The chicken tenders, albeit a tad on the salty side, were also delicious. The tea was quite sweet - perfect for those with a sweet tooth. Although I found a few shortcomings in their execution, the food overall was delightful and offered good value for money. A word of caution though, as there were some instances of unsatisfactory customer service. That being said, I was generally pleased with my meal and would definitely consider going again next time I'm in the area. If you're looking for a decent chicken and waffles experience, Connie's is worth checking out.

I recently had the pleasure of brunching at Libby's Restaurant in Wilmington, and it was truly a delightful experience. This place is a real locals' spot, with a basic yet incredibly delicious menu. The ambiance was pleasant, not particularly striking, but warm, friendly, and impeccably clean. Despite an underwhelming omelet, everything else we sampled such as the French toast, eggs, and scrapple were absolutely delicious, with the French toast being a particular highlight. As for the value, the prices at Libby's were quite reasonable, making it an affordable dining option in Wilmington. What really left a strong impression on me was the friendliness and team spirit of the staff. They all worked together to ensure we had everything we needed. This aspect alone makes Libby's worth a revisit next time I'm in town. In fact, we had the creamed chipped beef gravy with hash browns and Libby's Special with meat - everything was downright delicious. This quaint downtown diner, while not posh, is indeed a gem of a place with an appealing home style vibe. So, if you're after a relaxed, cozy, and flavorful brunch, Libby's is the place to be. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

I had a brilliant brunch at Drop Squad Kitchen in Wilmington. The food was spectacular and the restaurant itself was unique and engaging. The wait wasn't too long and although I thought the portion sizes could be a bit larger, I understand that the economy plays a part in this. The smoothies and tacos were fantastic! I liked the concept of made-to-order food, as this promotes fresh ingredients, which is always a plus in a vegan restaurant. We had a variety of dishes for take out while we tucked into the delicious Jerusalem Fries in-house. The sauce on these fries was second to none. We also had their Chickun Tacos, which were so good I was left speechless! Alongside the delicious tacos and fries, we had the best kale salad I have ever tasted, the Deity. It was fresh and the mix of kale, avocado, tomato, cucumber, and cilantro was simply marvelous. The marinade was so delicious I wished for more when I finished it. Our drinks, a Green Monster Smoothie and a refreshing Mojito Tea, were both thirst-quenching and delightful. I am looking forward to returning to this brunch spot to try out more options from their menu. The food was excellent and the customer service was warm and welcoming. Despite the small portion sizes and my thoughts on the atmosphere, I still feel like this is my new favorite spot. Their vegan chicken wings, candyams, and cornbreads are definitely worth a try, but keep in mind the portions are small.

I recently enjoyed an exquisite brunch experience at Le Cavalier during my visit to Wilmington. The ambiance of this establishment is enchanting, with decor that is both nostalgic and elegant, transporting you back to the glamour of the last century. We visited on Easter and were treated to a brunch that was as decadent as it was beautiful. From the moment we entered the majestic dining room, we were in for a treat. The food was truly excellent; I relished every bite of my shrimp cocktail, skate wing, and sorbet, all of which were top quality. The rest of my party were equally pleased with their meals, from the delicious Tuna Nicoise to the Crab Cake Sandwich and the Fries and Pineapple Upside Down cake. The service was faultless and attentive, adding to our overall positive dining experience. My favorite was the French 75, which was the best I've ever had. The chef even made a special Grilled Cheese for our son, which he declared as the best he's ever had. Le Cavalier even managed to impress us with its rich history. On our visit during Father’s Day, we learnt about the hotel and restaurant’s storied past which only added to the charm and allure of this place. Yes, there were minor setbacks. The seating arrangement was rather disorganized and the steak in the Steak Frites lacked flavor. But overall, these couldn't dampen the wonderful experience we had. The beautiful atmosphere, and the remarkable food more than made up for it. In summary, Le Cavalier offered us a wonderful brunch experience during our visit to Wilmington. It's a place that knows how to make a special occasion even more memorable with its elegant setting, quality food, and attentive service. It's a dining experience that left us feeling elated, satisfied, and eagerly looking forward to our next visit.

Since moving to the Wilmington area, I've been on the hunt for that quintessential American diner experience and Goobers Diner didn't disappoint! The ambiance was spot on - it was just like walking onto the set of a classic diner movie scene, minus roller skates and all. The best part? The service was fantastic. Our waitress was charming, efficient, and incredibly friendly. It was also great to see the manager making the rounds, thanking every table for their visit - a small gesture that made a big impression. My partner and I are vegetarians, which can make dining out tricky, but we were pleasantly surprised by the variety of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. The food was delicious, the milkshake fresh, and the prices very reasonable. I loved the general buzzing atmosphere. There was one slight downside - the chicken and waffles weren't up to the mark. The fried chicken skin was a bit too soft for my liking and the maple syrup for the waffle, which was an extra expense, turned out to be a letdown as it was just corn syrup instead of real maple. However, the rest of our dining experience was great. We all enjoyed a big breakfast, and though the eggs were a bit too runny and the waffle slightly dry, the bacon and sausage were absolutely excellent. We also appreciated the attention to detail from our server, Taylor, who made sure our order was perfect. Additionally, the cleanliness of the restroom was a big plus. The one disappointment was that the vintage car show was closed - apparently it's open only on Sundays, which was a bit of a letdown. Overall, Goobers Diner offered a great brunch experience and I'm looking forward to revisiting. Next time, however, I'll skip the chicken and waffles and stick to the vegetarian options. I visited Chelsea Tavern for brunch with my family of six, and we were really impressed. Even without a reservation, we got a comfortable table for all of us. The mixed drinks we ordered were surprisingly strong and reasonably priced, and the bartender/waitress really knew her stuff, promptly refilling our drinks and water and bringing us our food. Speaking of food, everything we ordered was delicious. I tried the Million Dollar Baby burger, and I can definitely see why it's won awards. The nachos were scrumptious, and the California Ruben, the Crab Cake sandwich, and kids' meals also hit the spot. Though we didn't get a chance to try the appetizers, I was glad we chose a local restaurant over a typical chain, even with a service fee. The restrooms were somewhat difficult to access due to a large set of stairs, so I'm not sure about the wheelchair or handicap accessibility. I personally found Chelsea Tavern after leaving the Wilmington Public Library, and was pleasantly surprised by the extensive brunch menu and plenty of drink specials. I even enjoyed one of the best mimosas I've had in a while. We returned with five other women after a show, and found the table service excellent, despite the bar service being a bit slow. Street parking was available, making it even more convenient. Overall, I would definitely return to Chelsea Tavern – a local gem with great food and friendly service.

I had a delightful experience at River Rock Kitchen for brunch recently. Our waitress, Sam, was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, attentive and had impeccable timing when it came to checking on us. The food was impressive. My personal favorite was the ahi tuna, it was just mouthwatering. I also must mention Amanda, another server who was a complete ray of sunshine. Her friendly demeanor greatly added to our brunch experience. The appetizers were full of flavor and paired perfectly with our chosen glass of wine. The restaurant provided an environment conducive to enjoying a peaceful meal and engaging in intimate conversation without struggling to hear one another. As for the main course, it was simply delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the wings were a hit as well. Despite their seemingly humble mention, they stood out for their great taste. On a less positive note, there were some hiccups in service that resulted in a longer wait time for our orders. The restaurant felt understaffed, as it took some time to even get a drink. Unfortunately, our entree also came out before the appetizer. However, they rectified this by not charging us for our drinks. There was also an unknown extra charge on the bill which had to be rectified. But despite these setbacks, the restaurant's tasty food and the stellar service from the staff, especially Sam and Amanda, made it worth the visit. River Rock Kitchen provides a nice atmosphere for a quiet dinner with great service and delicious food. If you're in the Riverfront area, don't hesitate to give this place a try, despite its minor flaws. I believe you won't be disappointed.

My brunch experience at Timothy's Riverfront Grill in Wilmington was amazingly wonderful. The seafood was particularly impressive, with both the shrimp and crab asparagus Alfredo pasta, and the shrimp crab soup being delightful. The nachos were also a pleasant surprise due to their generous size and satisfying taste. The overall cost of our meal was quite fair considering the quantity and quality of our food, and our server, Paige, was not only friendly but efficient in her service. Picking up the food was another aspect of the experience that I highly appreciated. The host was welcoming and the food was prepared in a timely manner, making the whole process smooth and pleasant. I would however suggest that they ensure the hand sanitizer containers are always full to ensure maximum hygiene. The food was not only delicious but also came in visually appealing presentations. The sweet potato fries particularly stood out as probably the best I've had in a long time. Additionally, the outside dining area offers a great view that added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. My encounter with the staff has been nothing but positive - Rick offered excellent service and the bartenders were professional and attentive. I particularly enjoyed the crab cake sandwich and the sweet potato fries with cinnamon dipping sauce. The tables outside could do with a thorough cleaning but, on the whole, the restaurant has a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. Its location on the waterfront gives it a splendid view and the fact that they open earlier than most spots around there is a big plus. I will certainly be a returning customer at Timothy's, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a decent place to get a brunch, hang out after work, or even dinner with kids.

My brunch experience at Metro Lounge in Wilmington was overall quite positive. The menu is standard to most hotel restaurants, but the meals provided for lunch and dinner are nothing to scoff at if you enjoy your food on the saltier side. The breakfast buffet, while more limited, does provide enough options to start your day right. The aesthetics of the dining room leave something to be desired, it does possess an oddly comforting, cave-like ambiance, which was surprisingly suitable for a leisurely meal. But the highlight of my time here was undoubtedly the service. The staff was absolutely wonderful, going above and beyond to ensure an enjoyable dining experience. One Sunday, when options were few and far between, I arrived slightly late for breakfast. I was on the brink of missing the most important meal of the day. But to my relief, a gallant staff member behind the buffet kindly offered to whip up an omelette for me. That small act of kindness left an indelible mark on my experience and their omelette - a true testament to their culinary skills. Another noteworthy mention is Katrina, who manages the bar impeccably. Her friendly and attentive demeanor made for a delightful socializing experience at the bar. My only critique would be for the establishment to update their opening hours on Google Maps, as I initially had trouble finding it and was under the impression it was closed. As it turns out, the cafe is located inside the hotel itself. All in all, even with a few hiccups, Metro Lounge proved to be a surprising little gem in Wilmington. An ideal joint for great food, incredible service, and cozy vibes.

Upon my arrival, I was seated promptly and greeted by a very friendly and helpful server. The waiting time for food and drinks was minimal, which was a nice surprise. Although the place has a bar-style setup, it didn't pose any problems as it wasn't crowded when I visited. The food and drinks were truly delightful and I'm already looking forward to trying other items on their menu on my next visit. One thing to note is that the prices are slightly on the higher side and they mainly accept cash or payments via Cash App. I was taken aback when I found out the coffee was priced at $14, but after tasting it, I'd say it was worth it. The restaurant's ambiance might be compact, but the decor is beautiful and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The food, in particular, was outstanding. My seafood omelette was delectable and my wife's pancakes, nearly a foot across, were equally impressive. The lattes too were excellent, adding to the overall great experience. A few points to keep in mind for next time are that they were cash-only the day we visited and they had a dress code which we were unaware of. Also, the entrees and lattes didn't arrive at the same time due to the size of their kitchen. They accept reservations and I believe they're encouraged. One pleasant surprise was the ongoing renovation to add table seating, which I think is a big plus. The day I visited, the service was slow but it seemed like the staff was juggling multiple tasks. Despite this, the food was nothing short of exceptional and the complimentary infused water was a nice touch. I was taken aback by the difference between the atmosphere and the online photos but I will definitely give them another visit, since we all have off days. The place itself is small and intimate, creating a lovely vibe. The music added to the dining experience and the lemonades were fantastic. The 24k gold henny chicken and creole grits were my favorite dishes, although I felt the brulee French toast was slightly bland. Despite this minor setback, I will undoubtedly be back.
