Attalus Coffee

Attalus Coffee has quickly become my favorite café in Vacaville. If you're someone who loves café hopping but struggles to find more than the usual spots like Journey's and Starbucks, this is the place for you. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the ambiance is top-notch—one of the nicest I've been to. The menu offers some amazing options; I tried the Vanilla Bean latte and a honey latte, both of which were perfect. The food exceeded my expectations, especially the Breakfast Sandwich and Avocado Toast. One thing to note is that they don't have WiFi, but I find that adds to the charm, making it a great spot for reading or catching up with friends. The owners are present every day, ensuring everything is up to standard, and their dedication shines through in the quality of their offerings. They use real, local, organic ingredients, which is a big plus. Marissa and Kevin have done a fantastic job creating a cool location with a simple yet creative menu. It’s a convenient stop for coffee on the way to the Bay Area. Even though there wasn't much furniture when I visited due to a delayed shipment, I could see the potential once they get more settled and expand their hours. Attalus Coffee is definitely worth a visit, and I can't wait to see how they evolve. If you're near Vacaville, make sure to add this spot to your routine. You won’t be disappointed!

Cuba Café in Vacaville is an awesome spot for breakfast! The food is flavorful, and the meat truly melts in your mouth, seasoned to perfection. I'm eager to come back and try different dishes each time. It has a lovely mom-and-pop vibe with a surprisingly big menu full of interesting options. I had the medianoche, and it was absolutely delicious. Plus, the coffee is really good too! It's such a treat to stop by for a cafe con leche and a pastry. Today, I decided to try the coconut treat and a papa rellena, and both were delightful. As a family-owned restaurant, the people there make the experience even better. We sampled a bit of everything including meat pies, ropa vieja, pollo de Plato, fries, croquetas, and papas rellenos. I highly recommend the meat pies, pollo de Plato, and ropa vieja. The staff is lovely, very attentive and patient, even when we kept looking at the menu. They graciously offered us chicken papas rellenos to try, which were quite tasty. Definitely try the smoothies too—they're worth it!

Tried brunch for the first time at Pure Grain Bakery & Café and it was fantastic. By 11:45 am, they had sold out of Chicken Fried Steak and flour tortillas for burritos, which shows how popular these items are. We managed to get a Breakfast Sandwich on a cheddar jalapeño bagel—super soft and definitely something I'd order again and again. The Veggie omelet was perfect, with a soft center, and the house potatoes were absolutely delicious. The bear claw was large and tasty, and the cinnamon roll deserved two thumbs up. I really appreciated that the baked goods were soft and not dry, which can happen sometimes. We’ve decided to add Pure Grain to our brunch rotation list. Thanks to its location, we stopped by for our Saturday lunch on the way to the ocean. Even around 10-ish in the morning, it was pretty busy and somewhat loud, but not in a way that bothered us. The prices are quite reasonable, around $15 for a sandwich, and the portions are generous—we only managed half! It’s a nice place with a small-town vibe. I also went for dinner on a Thursday night and tried the three tacos combo with chicken and shrimp. The ingredients were fresh with just the right amount of sauce over seasoned cabbage and chunks of mango and cilantro. The chicken was moist, just the way I like it, and the shrimp was equally impressive. My husband, who’s German, had the schnitzel sandwich and loved it, especially with the spaetzle on the side. The staff and service were great, and we enjoyed sitting outside listening to live music in the courtyard. The cakes, pastries, and sandwiches are excellent, and the people are very nice. There’s plenty of parking and seating. Visiting Pure Grain Bakery & Café in Vacaville is a must.

Moving to Vacaville, I was on the lookout for a spot that offered healthy breakfast options, and Virtue Juice + Coffee turned out to be a gem! The açaí bowls are consistently fantastic with fresh fruit, and the avocado toast bursts with rich flavor. Their green smoothie is my go-to; the consistency and taste are spot on. It's refreshing to find a place that focuses on real, healthy ingredients, especially when you're mindful of what you eat. The coffee here is exactly what you want it to be—tasting like actual coffee, unlike Dutch Brothers or the syrupy drinks from Starbucks. If you try those places, you definitely need to try Virtue. Their Almond Butter shake is another favorite, giving me sustained energy throughout the day. The staff at Virtue Juice + Coffee is friendly, and the vibe is laid-back and inviting. On a side note, the blue summer bowl I had was a bit tasteless, which was disappointing given the price, but it was a larger portion. Despite that, discovering this place has been a win! My wife and I are thrilled to have found some healthier options nearby. With a simple menu offering coffee, juice, and smoothies, there’s something for everyone. She loved the carrot juice, and my pineapple smoothie was awesome. We'll definitely be returning!

Journey Coffee Co. in Vacaville is a gem for anyone who loves a good breakfast stop. On a recent visit, I had one of the best lattes I've enjoyed in a while. It's handmade with real barista style—no automatic machines here! The staff is incredibly warm and friendly, making it a great place to relax with a cup of coffee. We stopped by on our way home from San Francisco, and it was really convenient with easy freeway access and plenty of parking. Being gluten-free, I was happy to find two gluten-friendly items in the pastry case, and I snagged the last gluten-free chocolate glazed donut. It was small but delicious. My lavender latte with oat milk was a standout. The cafe is clearly a favorite among locals, with young families and laptop warriors making up the clientele. The spacious interior and ample seating make for a comfortable environment. The only downside was the bathroom; it could use a little sprucing up, especially with a dusty fan cover. Overall, the service was sweet, the cappuccino was delightful, and there's a great variety of drinks and snacks. Journey Coffee Co. is laid-back, clean, and welcoming—a spot I’ll definitely be visiting again.

I love using the mobile app to order ahead, and changing to in-store pickup is a breeze, saving me time. The staff is polite and efficient, ensuring my order is ready promptly. Their chicken is delicious and consistently hits the spot. I'm quite particular about my food, but Chick-fil-A always comes through with great taste. Plus, they offer a variety of sauces without extra charge, letting me try all the flavors at my own pace. Overall, this location is buzzing with activity but handles it well, maintaining high standards in service and food quality. It's a spot I appreciate and look forward to visiting.

Huckleberry's Breakfast & Lunch in Vacaville is definitely worth the wait. The breakfast meals are a bargain, even compared to places like IHOP, and the taste and quality are on another level. They have a colorful veggie medley that's unique. The chicken tenders were flavorful and moist, and the seasoned fries paired perfectly. The chicken fried steak meal was awesome, and while the coffee was just decent, the attentive service made up for it. This place is perfect for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and even dinner. If you're not from the area, it's a must-visit spot! The mimosas and Bloody Mary were delicious, and the beignets were huge and fluffy. I had the Benedict, and it tasted amazing. My friends tried some hash, and everything looked and smelled great. The portion sizes are generous for the price. There was a wait, but it was definitely worth it. The staff and service were excellent, contributing to an overall positive experience. The drinks, especially the Gator Juice with a sugar rim, were delicious. For food, I had the fried chicken and waffles, and while the chicken batter was a bit heavy, the waffles were fine. The scrambled eggs weren’t my favorite, as they were a bit too wet, but overall, our visit was great and we’ll definitely be back.

First time in! The young staff at Beach Hut Deli were super friendly and welcoming right from the start. The vibe with beers on tap and football on TV was just perfect for a laid-back breakfast stop. I tried the Super Salad, and it didn't disappoint. It was a good size, nicely presented, and tasted fresh and delicious. Absolutely no complaints on this first visit! The sandwiches, especially on Dutch crust bread, are fantastic with fresh veggies and meats. Plus, their selection of IPAs and amber ales is impressive. The place has a cool beachy vibe, with surfboard-themed tables that add a unique character. I've stopped by twice so far while traveling between Sac and the Bay Area, and both times have been a great experience. The service is excellent, and the food really stands out. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area!

Having breakfast at Boudin SF in Vacaville was a great experience. My husband and I decided to dine in, and even though the line was long, it was definitely worth the wait. This seems to be the case at every Boudin, so it’s a good sign that you’re at a great place to eat. My husband can't get enough of their Cobb Salad, which he absolutely loves. I tend to go for their seasonal turkey cranberry sandwiches, and their sourdough bread never disappoints—it’s simply amazing. There’s also the option to mix and match, which adds a nice touch to the meal. The staff were wonderful, providing great service, and we enjoyed sitting outside. We also bought a clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl for my spouse, which he really enjoyed. I chose the North Beach melt with a side salad, and every bite was as delightful as I remembered from 13 years ago. We even purchased a can of clam chowder to take home. This experience reminded us why we love Boudin SF, despite a previous to-go order mishap. We will definitely be back for more quality breakfasts.

On our way to the Dodgers vs. A's baseball game, we made a breakfast stop at Black Bear Diner in Vacaville. It was pretty busy at 10:30 am on a Sunday, but we got seated right away. The service was excellent, and the place was clean and organized. The food was generally good, though a bit on the cold side. Huge servings really stood out. We ordered French Fries, French Toast, and a Hobo Omelette—definitely home-cooked meals! The pies and cobblers were tempting, and their real bear claws were a nice touch, much better than the usual donut shop ones. I was thrilled about the chicken fried steak because I didn’t even have to ask for extra gravy—a first for me! Though I'm still figuring out my favorite menu item, my daughter loves the hamburger salad. I went for Bruce's meat lovers omelet, hash browns, and a biscuit with gravy. While the hash browns are thick, I'd recommend asking for them crispy since they tend to brown just one side. The omelet was good, though the biscuit with gravy could use a bit more seasoning. Shoutout to Rosa, our amazing server, who was patient and helpful, providing insights on the big sellers. We finished off with a mini coconut cream pie, which was delicious. The Corned Beef Hash, made with shredded Brisket, is some of the best I've had. Watching the servers was impressive; they never stopped moving. Overall, it's a wonderful diner and a great spot for breakfast. I'm excited to find a diner closer to home now that they have over 160 locations nationwide.

I've been a regular at The Original Mels Diner in Vacaville since they opened, and while there have been ups and downs over the years, my recent visits have left a positive impression. One of the standout experiences was with our server, Cellias, who was incredibly attentive and seemed genuinely focused on making sure we had a great time. Her dedication was refreshing. The breakfast options here are solid. Chris enjoyed bacon and eggs that were cooked perfectly, and my country skillet was very good. The combination of scrambled eggs, sausage, and cheese over hash browns made for a hearty meal. Nina, our server on this occasion, was polite and efficient, adding to the pleasant experience. I also tried their steak and eggs and chicken fried steak. The gravy on the chicken fried steak was just right, not too salty, and the potatoes were delicious. The diner was clean, and the classic diner music added to the atmosphere. The malt was a highlight, and although the French toast was a bit dry, it didn't overshadow the overall positive experience. While not every dish has been a hit, the staff and environment make it a fun place to step back in time and enjoy a meal.

Panera Bread in Vacaville is a great spot for breakfast, especially during the weekdays when it's nice and quiet. I highly recommend their Charge Lemonades and breakfast sandwiches; they really hit the spot. The location can get busy on weekends, but the atmosphere remains pleasant. They have a few kiosks for ordering, which makes the process smooth and straightforward. While there have been some issues in the past with management and certain orders, my experience with the food here has generally been positive. The soup is consistently good and hot, and the baguette is always fresh. Although the menu can be a bit pricey, the quality of food you get is worth it. The staff at this location is attentive and helpful, ensuring the food comes out fairly quickly. Plus, the dining area is always clean, making it a nice place to enjoy breakfast. It's a shame they removed the flatbread pizzas, but overall, this Panera remains a solid choice for a morning bite.

After a symphony concert in Oakland and heading back to Sacramento, hunger hit us. Spotting the glowing Denny's in Vacaville at 2am felt like a relief. We were greeted warmly by a kind waitress and a smart manager. Our group ordered a variety of things, from T-Bone steak to a fruit bowl. My steak was cooked just right, and the eggs were excellent. The fruit bowl could have been better, but for 2am, it was understandable. On another visit post-Christmas shopping at the Nut Tree, the experience was equally satisfying. The place was clean and nicely decorated. We were seated immediately, and the waitress took our order within five minutes. The bacon avocado burger with Swiss cheese and mushrooms was fantastic. Angel, one of the staff, was incredibly sweet and patient. Overall, both visits were enjoyable, and I’m looking forward to returning.

Our waitress was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. As for the food, I was impressed with the breakfast options. The highlight for me was the wonderfully cooked salmon paired with flavorful mashed potatoes and garlic spinach. My husband's jambalaya was also full of flavor, and he was pleased with his choice. Dessert was a standout moment, with the bread pudding being especially delicious. Although the menu prices have increased slightly, likely due to inflation, I felt the quality of the food and service justified the cost. As an East-Coast native, I approach "NY-Style" eateries with some hesitation, but Noah's NY Bagels in Vacaville completely won me over for breakfast. The freshness of their ingredients is impressive, especially the eggs, which are made right in front of you. They really know how to craft a delicious bagel sandwich. Despite some negative reviews about service that I've seen, my experience was nothing short of fantastic. If you think the East Coast has the bagel game all figured out, you might be surprised by what Noah's is doing. It's definitely a place worth visiting if you appreciate a well-made bagel.

I had a great breakfast experience at IHOP in Vacaville. The egg white omelette was really good and the portion was pretty big. The waitress was pleasant, although she didn't ask if I wanted a refill until I was done, and the Pepsi was flat. Despite that, the overall experience was chill. I was curious about why a single Belgian waffle costs $13, but I got it anyway, and it was really good. I also tried the chicken and pesto crepe, which was delicious too. The IHOP has undergone a full remodel since the last time I was there, which was probably over a decade ago. It was a good choice to visit again because everything was great! The waitress mentioned that even the menu got a redesign, and the new ones looked very updated and comprehensive. If you haven't been to IHOP in a while, I recommend giving them a shot. I may not remember how it used to be, but it seems better than the place I recall. IHOP in Vacaville offers tasty and affordable meals for locals and travelers alike. They serve everything from pancakes to hamburgers fast and hot. The servers are helpful and courteous, the bathrooms are clean, and there's plenty of parking.
