La Fusion Cafe in Saint Paul is a convenient spot for hospital workers and guests, offering a variety of cuisine at a fair price. The owner is exceptionally attentive, with a wonderful balance of being present without being intrusive. There may be a need for a bit more clarity on the menu when it comes to the individual dishes, but the food itself is delightful. Their Kenyan veggie samosas, beef samosas, breakfast sandwich, and Kenyan chai are particularly notable, made even better by the wonderful chef and owner who serves with kindness and charm. Conveniently located near the Xcel Energy Center and the Science Museum, this cafe is a hidden gem well worth seeking out for its chef caliber dishes. Their Swahili chicken coconut curry deserves a special shout-out for being an absolute 10/10. This gem of a cafe is a definite must-try for anyone in the St Paul area, earning a near perfect rating.

Tongue in Cheek in Saint Paul is fast becoming a favorite for its amazing brunches and exceptional tasting menu. Their cocktail flight, especially the Mother of Dragons, is a must-try for adventurous drinkers. The meat dishes are flavorful with every bite cooked to perfection and they serve some of the best waffles around. They've got varied seating options and a quirky decor that adds to the overall dining experience. While their ramen's kimchi can be a bit overpowering, the excellent service and the overall quality of food make up for this minor issue. If you're looking for a unique dining experience with top-notch service and inviting ambiance, Tongue in Cheek is definitely worth a visit. Just a small hiccup, the cocktail flight was served at room temperature. With all that said, it was still a solid 4-star dining experience and I would definitely come back.

Magnolias Restaurant
1081 Payne Ave, St Paul
(651) 774-3333
My brunch experience at Magnolias Restaurant in Saint Paul was truly outstanding. Their French toast, topped with cinnamon butter and served with warm syrup, was the best I've experienced. My husband's Lumberjack breakfast was equally delightful. We were deeply impressed by the friendly service and look forward to returning on our next visit to Minneapolis. As a lifelong resident of the east side, I can't believe I've only just discovered this gem. Apart from the regular menu, their specials, soups, and particularly the onion rings deserve a special mention. Not only is the food at Magnolias Restaurant inexpensive, but the portions are also huge. The ham and cheese omelet was packed with ham, and the hash browns were extra crispy, just the way I like them. I wholeheartedly recommend dining at Magnolias Restaurant for brunch.

The restaurant also has a unique counter order, table served system. It's a great spot for a leisurely Sunday morning brunch and also offers a carryout option. A-Side Public House
754 Randolph Ave, St Paul
(651) 756-1351
All in all, A-Side Public House in Saint Paul is definitely a must-visit for brunch lovers. While the service can sometimes be a bit slow, it's not enough to deter one from the overall ambience, delicious food, and unique history that this brewery-cum-restaurant has to offer. From the Panzanella salad to the Falafel burger, every dish is thoughtfully created and only adds to the charm of the place. The atmosphere, devoid of noisy TVs, is perfect for meaningful conversation and enjoying the beauty of the old firehouse. Despite occasional peak times, turnover is quick and you won't be left waiting for a table. Vegetarians will also find it an inclusive spot with plenty of options on the menu. It's a place you'll find yourself returning to, enjoying a heartening brunch in a charming, genuine diner setting.
Handsome Hog
173 Western Ave N, St Paul
(651) 219-4013
My experiences at Handsome Hog in Saint Paul have been overall very positive. The food is generally good, but the standout dish has to be their chicken and waffles, which I would argue are life-changing. Their service is usually phenomenal, especially from servers like Tyler and Dan who helped make our visits memorable. It's a great place for special occasions and group outings, with a comfortable patio and an extensive menu with something for everyone. Standout dishes from the small plates and dinner menu include the brisket and chicken salad sandwiches, the Mac n Cheese with Hot Cheetos and the Caesar Salad. And for those with a sweet tooth, the cinnamon roll is a must-try. But perhaps what sets Handsome Hog apart are their cocktails. Even though the espresso martini is not on the menu, the bartenders are accommodating and skilled enough to make one upon request. My visits to Handsome Hog have been generally enjoyable and I look forward to going back to try more of their menu. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid brunch spot in Saint Paul with a vibrant vibe and excellent service.

My visit to Hope Breakfast Bar in St. Paul was an outstanding experience. The service was top-notch, the seating arrangements were unique and versatile, and the food was nothing short of fantastic. While my fiance's dish could've used a bit more flavor, our overall meal was superb, especially the donuts and chicken and waffles. Despite a busy weekend, our reservation ensured we had a table and we were seated promptly. The menu offers a plethora of tempting options, my personal favorite being the egg grazer with fried pickles, veggies, and grains. The fun, big menu did make it hard to decide, but the delicious Pillow Pancakes and coffee were excellent choices. I highly recommend Hope Breakfast Bar and will definitely be returning to sample more from their menu.
Copper Dome
1333 Randolph Ave, St Paul
I had an incredibly positive experience at the Copper Dome restaurant in Saint Paul. Their service, thanks to our server Faith, is top-notch, and the food quality matches - the biscuits and gravy, in particular, were the best I've ever tasted. The restaurant maintains a neighborhood, family feel, making it an ideal spot for cozy, comforting brunch. They've also updated their menu to keep up with the trends but continue to offer traditional favorites such as the Swedish pancakes with Lingonberries. This is one of my go-to spots when I'm back in the Twin Cities and I highly recommend it for those looking for delicious brunch options. The banana pancakes, for instance, are the best in the city. Accompanied by hot, fresh coffee and served by their friendly, professional staff, the Copper Dome provides not only a meal but a relaxing environment to prepare for the day.

Their Chai Latte was perfectly balanced for my sweet tooth, but they also offer versatile options like Matcha Latte. Parking might be a tad tricky during peak hours, but the experience is definitely worth it! Great spot for a brunch or a light meal. Will certainly return!
