The prices were reasonable, and the dining experience left me more than satisfied. It's now my go-to restaurant for breakfast in Reno. The food here has to be some of the best I've enjoyed in a long time, everything was just so tasty. It's an amazing spot for breakfast and coffee. We absolutely love Peg’s! It's a very homey, low key breakfast spot just off Mae Anne in Northwest Reno. Our server was amazing and really knew how to entertain our toddler, which just made the whole experience even better. The Benedict and huevos rancheros we tried were top-notch, and the kiddo couldn't get enough of his Mickey Mouse pancake! It's priced as you'd expect for Reno, and you get what you pay for – a great meal in a comfortable setting. For a little twist, I tried adding chorizo and avocado to my ham & cheese omelet, and it was a decision I didn't regret! Amber, the manager there, was incredibly kind and friendly. She shared a bit of the place's history with us, explaining how her grandparents started it and the legacy they left behind. It's heartwarming to see a family business thrive like this. The food was scrumptious, and the restaurant had such a cozy ambiance. Being from out of state and there for my brother's wedding, this was our final meal in town. It could not have been a better choice for a farewell breakfast. I’m grateful for Amber's hospitality and can confidently say they serve the best breakfast in town. I’ll be recommending Peg’s to everyone I know, and it’ll definitely be on my itinerary the next time I'm in town. The food was simply delicious – a fitting end to a lovely vacation.

The recent facelift has brought in beautiful new furniture and lighting that enhance the dining experience. Norma, our server, was excellent as always, contributing to the overall stellar service. It's nice to know that you can expect good food at any hour. During an early morning visit at 2:40 am on January 23, 2024, I ordered the Greg All-American Cheeseburger. Remember that here, burgers come without mayo or spread unless you request it – a good tip for fellow diners. I encountered a slight hiccup when I asked to have spread added to my burger after it was served and got initially declined due to a misunderstanding. Thankfully, Haylee, a diligent employee, stepped in to assist. Her exemplary customer service, including meticulous cleaning of tables, deserves a 5-star rating. My husband tried the chilaquiles, which were an unconventional take on the dish but still tasty, and he enjoyed them with an open mind. Service was decent throughout our visit. A word of advice to future guests: the Birria Empanadas may not meet typical expectations since it's not a Mexican restaurant. Overall, aside from a few unexpected twists, our experience was positive.

In the past, we've tried the Chilaquiles and Vallarta Omelet, and they've been nothing short of delicious. They've got a great selection of coffee and specialty lattes, which are always a treat! Tucked away in a humble strip mall, Westside Cafe and Coffee Company excels at what they do, making it our go-to breakfast spot in NW Reno. The breakfast sandwiches are great, and the value is spot-on. Stopping in for breakfast was a win; the Carne Asada breakfast plate hit the spot just as well as the Chilaquiles. The staff is attentive, frequently checking in on us, ensuring our coffee cups were never empty. Even at 8 am, it wasn't too crowded, which made for a relaxed meal. From now on, this will be our staple breakfast destination for early mornings when departing from Reno. As for delivery service, it's exceptional; they've earned themselves a 5-star rating from me. Although one time I tried the french dip and it wasn't to my taste, lacking in flavor, and the fries were sparse too. But that won't stop me from coming back – everyone has off days, and overall, they're outstanding.

Admittedly, the prime rib was a bit of a mixed bag in terms of meat and fat content, but hey, our German shepherd didn't mind the leftovers! While I'm not one to focus on the negatives, it's worth noting that the experience wasn't flawless. A bit of an extra touch to make up for the missing stuffing would have been appreciated, and considering the prime rib situation, a discount might have been a fair gesture for the $67 meal. The diner was buzzing, and there was a wait time to be seated, which seemed to be due to short staffing. However, once we were settled in, the service was spot on and the food lived up to expectations. It was honestly delicious. On a separate occasion, I had a bit of a mishap with an online takeout order where a bowl of chili and a salad were forgotten. A quick call to the diner promised a refund, but unfortunately, that refund hasn't shown up in my bank statement yet. I'm hopeful that the diner will sort this out soon and provide the refund as they had assured. Despite these hiccups, the dining experience was largely a positive one. The portion sizes were generous, to say the least – the amount of food we received from just one order split between us was impressive. And I can't praise our server, Izzabella, enough. Her service was impeccable, always with a smile and ready to attend to our needs. Her responsiveness definitely added to the overall positive experience. All things considered, the good outweighed the minor issues, and I look forward to returning to Black Bear Diner for another brunch.
