I visited The Baker in New Bedford for breakfast and had an overall great experience. The food was a solid 10 out of 10. Our sandwiches were incredibly fresh and tasty, and the homemade croissants were a real highlight. I had a smoked salmon bagel, and while the bagel itself was a bit overpowering, the ingredients were fresh. The Oreo cookie and taro lavender latte with oat milk were also pretty good. The service was excellent. The staff was attentive, noticing when my bagel took a bit longer, and quickly ensuring it was made. It's a cute spot with a well-rounded menu and a decent amount of seating for a smaller shop. The atmosphere was welcoming, and despite a minor issue with an allergy concern, I felt that the staff generally provided great service. Pricing is on the higher side – almost $40 for two sandwiches, two coffees, and a pastry – but given the quality, it’s understandable. While I have some reservations about the allergy handling, I would still consider going back for the delicious food and friendly service. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth checking out!

I remember coming to Yor Dogg Mil 26 years ago when I worked at Hallmark Nursing Home. Every day, we would order from here, indulging in their awesome chili dogs and hamburgers. I'm really glad to see they're still open and thriving. This place isn’t fancy by any means—it's a true local gem. The food has always been good, offering a genuine old-fashioned restaurant experience that keeps me coming back since 1982. It's still the same as it ever was, and I love that consistency. The dogs are great, and the service is solid. Honestly, they serve the best burgers in the west end of the city. If you ever visit, make sure to try a chili cheese dog or two.

Ground Floor Coffee is one of my favorite spots in New Bedford, and for good reason. I love the vibe here; it’s always welcoming and friendly. Whether I’m grabbing a quick coffee, dining inside, or enjoying the outdoor seating, it’s always a great visit. My go-to drink is the brownie sundae latte, but there are plenty of flavor options to explore. I went there on Monday, July 15th, 2024, before heading to Martha's Vineyard. It's a cute little café with a variety of seating options, from booths to high and low tables. I enjoyed a chocolate chip muffin and an iced coffee with mocha. My mom ordered an egg sandwich, and my dad had a bacon egg sandwich. The food was good and filling, but there was a little mix-up with my mom's sandwich – it had bacon when she asked for it without. Despite that, we ate everything, and it was satisfying. The staff here are always personable and super kind, which makes every visit even better. There's a charging station by the window, perfect for getting some work done or just charging your phone. I also like that they offer options like honey and oat milk to customize your coffee. The prices are reasonable too – a cold brew is just a bit more than what you'd pay at Dunkin', but the quality makes it worth it. I also tried the orange pistachio cake, which was an interesting experience. It's a unique flavor, and I'd recommend trying it if you're up for something different. Overall, the atmosphere and the quality of the coffee make this place a standout. They stay open until 5, which is great for those late afternoon cravings. If you're in the area, Ground Floor Coffee is a must-visit. The coffee is amazing, and the west coast feel of the place adds to the charm. Even though the line can be long on Sundays, it’s well worth the wait.

Green Bean in New Bedford is such a gem of a cafe. It reminds me of the cozy setting from Friends, thanks to the comfy couch and chair in the back, my favorite spot. It's super convenient since it's close to where I work, so I find myself popping in often. Their vegan pastry options are a delight – the chocolate coconut donut is divine, and the cinnamon donut is quite good too. I’ve been introduced to my go-to drink here, the "dirty chai" with oat milk, and it's a game-changer. Tried their TLT sandwich once, and it was amazing, though the second time it was just okay. Despite this, the charm of the place, the friendly staff, and those fantastic donuts keep me coming back. The big windows are perfect for people-watching with a coffee in hand, especially the iced americano which was excellent. Their breakfast sandwich with marinated tofu "bacon" was a bit dry, but the flavor of the tofu was outstanding. It's one of my top coffee spots in New Bedford, with consistently friendly service even when it’s bustling. It’s also a great cafe to work or study; the coffee is strong, and the food is reliably tasty. A huge plus is their vegan options, especially the curry tofu scramble with tofu bacon, which has become a favorite, especially with a splash of hot sauce. I'm grateful for such delicious vegan choices, as it’s challenging to find both vegan and tasty food around here. Supporting places that offer cruelty-free options is important to me, and I hope more people choose plant-based meals. This place truly makes it easier and enjoyable!

I stopped by Tia Maria's European Café for breakfast in New Bedford, and I was genuinely impressed with the experience. Although the service was polite, I didn't feel particularly welcomed during my visit; however, it's understandable since they seemed to have just finished their lunch rush. The restaurant also features outdoor seating, which is a nice option for enjoying a meal when the weather is pleasant. While I've mostly had the chance to order take-out due to working nearby, the food quality remains outstanding, with particular mention to their incredible cheese rolls. Despite some less-than-warm interactions at the take-out section, Tia Maria's is my go-to breakfast spot, especially for their amazing Portuguese omelette. Overall, I highly recommend visiting for a delicious breakfast or lunch.

Walking into Cafe Europa for breakfast was quite the experience. At first, I felt a bit out of place, almost like an outsider in a private Portuguese club. It took me a minute to get settled as I had to grab my own menu and find a table. Initially, the service seemed a bit slow, with the waitress taking her time after attending to others and cleaning up. However, any initial discomfort quickly faded once the food arrived. The food was absolutely amazing! I was blown away by how delicious everything was. We try different places often, and this was easily one of the best meals I've had, plus it was very affordable. I ordered the chicken cutlet with mushrooms and rice, which was a fantastic choice if you enjoy milder flavors. The portions were generous, which was a pleasant surprise. Even though the sangria was just average, the overall experience was wonderful. The owner, who I had the pleasure of meeting, was incredibly sweet and made me feel right at home. Despite the initial hiccup with the service, the delightful food and warm hospitality have convinced me that we will definitely become regulars at Cafe Europa.

I can’t recommend their grilled octopus and hot rice pudding enough – they hit the spot! This Portuguese restaurant is a gem "so close to home," offering authentic cuisine and friendly, courteous staff. The atmosphere is just right for both a nice evening meal or a leisurely lunch, and the prices are reasonable for the quality offered. Inner Bay Café is conveniently located a short drive from Fort Taber Park, with ample parking and accessibility features like a ramp at the entrance. Inside, the space is accommodating for those needing extra room. The food is consistently fresh, and I recommend trying the seafood if you're new to Portuguese cuisine. My personal favorite is the grilled octopus – it’s unmatched! This spot seems LGBTQ-friendly and is a welcoming place for couples and seniors. While kids will be fine here, it’s more suited for adults. If you’re visiting New Bedford, I highly suggest dining at Inner Bay Café and then taking a stroll at Fort Taber. It’s a beautiful part of the city that perfectly complements a visit to this fantastic restaurant.

I had breakfast at The Breakfast Klub in New Bedford and it was a fantastic experience. The food was just fine, but the home fries stood out to me. They were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside—little squared fries that were simply delicious. The corned beef hash was also incredibly tasty. The service was immediate and attentive, with no rush despite knowing people want to eat and go. They have flavored coffee options, and I enjoyed the hazelnut coffee. The place is in a neighborhood that's up and coming, and it exudes that classic "mom & pop" charm that often promises great food. It's wheelchair accessible and a good spot for families, maintaining a professional yet relaxed atmosphere. I had breakfast with my friend and there was no wait; we sat right down and the waitress came over immediately. She was friendly and respectful, enhancing the enjoyable experience. If it were possible, I would have licked the plate clean—the chef truly deserves praise! We've decided to make this place our new regular breakfast spot. The food is excellent, and the service is amazing. This morning, I stopped by for breakfast, cleared my plate, and left completely satisfied. My family and I love dining here, finding the prices reasonable and the breakfasts consistently great. I absolutely love Lorenzo's Bakery for breakfast in New Bedford. Their Puerto Rican bread and sandwiches truly make me feel at home. The customer service is outstanding, and even though I’m not from Massachusetts, I always make it a point to grab a "Tripleta" when I’m in town. It's hands down the greatest sandwich on earth—neatly packed, stuffed, and nothing falls out. I appreciate my Puerto Rican brothers for introducing me to this gem. My first visit was incredible, and the tripleta was delicious. I also love how you can customize it to your liking. The flavors were amazing, and the murals on the walls add a nice touch to the atmosphere. It's worth the wait, so I'd recommend calling ahead if you're in a hurry, as it might not be the fastest service. I must note, though, that I've visited several times and found them closed earlier than the listed closing time. Just today, I went at 3:30pm only to find them closed. Despite that, I can't wait to go back and enjoy more of their delicious offerings. Thank you, Lorenzo's, for bringing a taste of home to New Bedford!

While running errands in the neighborhood, I stumbled upon Girassol Restaurant for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Although the entrance can be a bit tricky to find for non-locals, once inside, I was greeted by a clean environment and spotless bathrooms. The street parking was manageable, though the food took a bit of time to arrive. I started with the Portuguese soup and bread, which were both incredibly tasty. For the main courses, we tried the grilled chicken over lettuce and the seafood mix with rice. Both dishes were fantastic, with the mussels, little neck clams, and scallops perfectly prepared. Girassol Restaurant truly is a hidden gem in New Bedford, offering some of the best Portuguese cuisine in the area. I've dined here four times with my husband and friends over the past six months, and the food has always been delicious, plentiful, and affordable. The Pork Alentejana-style with little necks is, by far, the best in town. The service is consistently excellent, and the owner is always attentive, making rounds to ensure everything is satisfactory. Overall, if you haven't visited Girassol Restaurant yet, you're missing out. It's a place worth checking out for a delightful and authentic Portuguese dining experience. 5 stars every time.

I can't say enough good things about Merrill's on the Waterfront for breakfast. Every time I've been there, the experience has been amazing. The venue is bright with a fantastic view, making it the perfect spot to start the day. The staff is incredibly kind and polite, always making sure everything is just right. I've had the pleasure of working with RJ for both personal events and dining, and he always goes above and beyond. Whether it's recommending dishes or helping with event styling, his knowledge and dedication really stand out. The surf and turf are incredible, with perfectly cooked scallops and steak, and the fried calamari is a must-try. The service is consistently exceptional, and the attention to detail from the chef is impressive. I highly recommend Merrill's for any occasion, whether it's breakfast, brunch, or a special event. If you're searching for the best "Catchupa" in town, look no further than Emily's Breakfast & Lunch. Emily herself is incredibly nice, professional, and attentive, making the dining experience smooth and enjoyable. As soon as you walk in and pick your own table, she promptly takes your order and gets it out to you quickly, and the food is incredible for the price. I ordered the Cachupa, two eggs with Linguica, a side of home fries, and coffee. It was my first time trying Cachupa, and it was delicious. The home fries might not have been homemade, but they were still tasty. The eggs were cooked perfectly, with fully cooked whites and slightly runny yolks. The fried Linguica sausage was also good. Despite arriving closer to 9:30 when it opens at eight, the service was amazing, quickly seating us and taking our orders. Although the waffles were just Eggos that you could buy anywhere, the overall prices were very fair. It was a Sunday morning, and the small space was quite lively with children, which might not be ideal for everyone. However, on a quieter day, the atmosphere would likely be more pleasant. Overall, I highly recommend giving this place a try. The food is excellent, and the staff is courteous and polite.
