Union cafe

If you're passing through Lynn, make sure to stop at Union Cafe for breakfast. My boyfriend and I tried the short stack of pancakes and a breakfast burrito, both of which were fresh and tasty with great portions for the price. The service was the best part; the owner was very accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed, like butter for our pancakes. I absolutely love everything about this place! The staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. On another visit, I had a sausage breakfast sandwich on a ciabatta, while my husband enjoyed a steak, egg, and cheese on a baguette. Their smoothies and coffee are really good too. I come here as often as possible because the breakfast sandwiches are phenomenal, and the pastries, especially the pumpkin muffins, are delightful. Make sure to try the fries—they are incredibly tasty. The owner and staff greet everyone with a smile and enjoy chatting with the customers, which adds to the great atmosphere. I'm hooked on their crispy chicken sandwich with avocado and bacon on fresh-baked bread, topped with their not-too-spicy mayo. Their drinks, pastries, and especially the ricotta pie are top-notch. Overall, Union Cafe is a must-visit for amazing food and service. Highly recommend!
Andy's Breakfast & Lunch
30 Boston St #3, Lynn

Jeff Grimmett
Breakfast is my favorite meal, so I'm always on the hunt for delicious options. At Andy's Breakfast & Lunch in Lynn, I found the perfect mix of savory and sweet. My friend and I swapped bites of their French toast offerings – both the Fire King and banana bread French toast were flavorful and distinct. The Fire King, with its cinnamon swirl in the batter, was a treat, while the banana bread French toast was an ideal blend of flavors. For those who prefer savory, the classic combo of eggs, bacon, potatoes (we had both hash browns and home fries), and toast hit the spot. The menu offers a great selection for both breakfast and lunch, and everything was served quickly and exactly as ordered. Our table for five, which included a 6-year-old, was served generous portions that represented great value. Visiting on a Sunday at 10:30, we were seated immediately, which was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is perfect for families, and when we returned with a party of nine, they accommodated us with ease. The chocolate chip pancakes are a hit with my family, and I found the hash browns to be particularly tasty. The croissant French toast and chicken sandwich are also favorites of ours. Just a quick note – there are no lunch options on Sundays. Andy's has become a regular spot for us because each meal is fresh and delicious. It's truly a gem in Lynn for breakfast lovers like me.
Brothers Deli

Marino Sran
Brothers Deli in Lynn offers a delightful breakfast experience with standout customer service. I was especially impressed by their Reuben Sandwich—it was the best I've ever had. While the mac and cheese lacked seasoning, the wide variety of food and sides on the menu ensures I'll find something different next time. The food is cooked to order and tastes fantastic. The staff is friendly and creates a welcoming dining atmosphere. They’re also accommodating if you have specific preferences. I admire the restaurant’s dedication to their community, especially their support for the homeless population. That’s a big thumbs up! Brothers Deli serves breakfast, sandwiches, hot coffee, meals, and soups. While the prices are a bit higher than expected, the excellent service makes it worthwhile. I appreciated the ample parking spaces, including disability parking and accessible entrances. A special mention to Pauline, who went above and beyond to provide an itemized receipt for a business expense by meticulously searching through their records. Truly top-notch customer service!
April's Restaurant Pub & Grill

April's Restaurant Pub & Grill is my favorite place ever for breakfast in Lynn. I love going there for brunch because the food is perfect and delicious. Their menu has something for everyone, which makes it easy to please any taste. The atmosphere is great, and the staff is always friendly. Plus, the prices are super reasonable, and their drinks are good and strong. Parking is never an issue for me, as I usually park at the public parking right across the street, but there's also plenty of free street parking available. Even when it's busy, the place still feels relaxing, especially with the great music they play. The food is always fresh, and Roger, the owner, makes sure to greet most of his guests, which adds a personal touch to the experience. Brian provided exceptional service, and the local vibe is unbeatable. He even made us a strawberry mango shake that wasn't on the menu, and it was delicious. This spot offers absolute comfort food, and it's conveniently close to Nahant Beach. Trust me, you won't be disappointed with the experience at April's. It's the best spot in town for breakfast.
Antique Table Lynn
2 Essex St, Lynn

Ethan Hayden
Antique Table Lynn is a cozy spot on 2 Essex St, Lynn, MA, perfect for indulging in classic Italian pasta dishes. Walking in, the place feels like stepping into a warm and inviting home, filled with nostalgic charm. The Calamari Fritti had a great crunch and was perfectly paired with spicy house marinara and hot cherry peppers. The Eggplant Rollatine was a cheesy delight, with ricotta and provolone harmonizing beautifully with basil and marinara sauce. The gnocchi in the Gnocchi Basilico dish were impressively fluffy, with fresh tomatoes and garlic that made each bite delightful. The Chicken Miguel, with its panko crusted chicken and creamy Marsala sauce, was cooked to perfection. The staff at Antique Table make you feel like a guest rather than a customer, providing attentive and friendly service. The bartender crafts drinks expertly, adding to the overall dining experience. Living next door for many years, I've found this restaurant to be one of the highlights of the neighborhood. The ambiance is cozy and intimate, though it can get a bit noisy since it's a small place. Nonetheless, the atmosphere along with the delicious food makes it a must-visit. If you're in the area, Antique Table is a gem you shouldn't miss.
Lazy Dog Sports Bar

Daniel Garcia
Lazy Dog Sports Bar in Lynn is the spot you don't want to miss if you're after genuine Boston vibes and hearty comfort food. The steak tips are a highlight—perfectly marinated and grilled just the way I like it. The baked beans are a standout, even better than those at any barbecue joint I've tried. Their hot dogs, topped with these beans, offer a sweet and savory delight that captures New England's essence. Pair your meal with the seasonal Shipyard Pumpkin Ale, which comes with a caramel and cinnamon sugar rim for a festive twist. The atmosphere here is pure Boston—warm, inviting, and perfect whether you're catching a game or just hanging out. Special shout-out to Clay for top-notch service. This bar truly feels like home, and it's a must-visit for any Bostonian. If you're around on a Saturday night, the live music adds to the fun, making it an ideal place to unwind with locals and enjoy the unmatched steak tips.
Bread of Dreams

(781) 598-7132
Millien Serge Hamilton
I love coming to Bread of Dreams for breakfast. Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing and always hit the spot. The service is consistently fast and friendly, which makes the experience even better. For a little plaza storefront, it has a wonderfully homely vibe, and I enjoy sitting there to eat whenever I have the time. The people there are great, and the food is even better, creating a special atmosphere that I really appreciate. The pastelitos are hands down the best in town—they're huge! Fantastic customer service combined with such delicious food makes this place truly stand out.
Cafe Colombia
34 Acorn St, Lynn
(781) 593-2444
Mariama Savaya
Visiting Cafe Colombia for breakfast was a delightful experience. The food portions are abundant and delicious, and the prices are great. The service was prompt, and everyone there was really friendly and sweet, which added to the warm and inviting feeling of the place. It truly felt like a piece of Colombia, with authentic Colombian food that reminded me of being back there. Children are always welcome, making it feel even more like home. While there were a few hiccups, like the menu showing a picture of three empanadas but only serving one, the flavor made up for it. The pancakes were tasty, though the coffee arrived without the requested sugar. The steak was a bit on the small and dry side, and the tostones were thinner than expected with only four in the order. Despite these small issues, Cafe Colombia captures the essence of real Colombian cuisine and hospitality. It was a pleasure to enjoy such a genuine experience, even though I would suggest avoiding the chicken and broccoli Alfredo Pasta based on my personal experience. Overall, it's a wonderful spot to enjoy hearty Colombian dishes.
BLT's Breakfast Lunch & Takeout
176 Broad St, Lynn
(781) 598-9284
Rosa Cecilia Jean
My husband and I went out for breakfast and decided to try BLT's. He ordered the tres golpes, a dish with mangu, salami, egg, and fried cheese. We were informed there would be a 30-minute wait for the mangu, but they offered yautia instead. We gave it a shot, and it was delicious—a great twist on the classic mangu. I had scrambled eggs with white toast, sausage, home fries, and added waffles with fruit. Everything tasted fresh and hot. We also tried two mofongo dishes at another time, and they were spot on. The food quality is excellent, and the service is fast. The staff is respectful and friendly, making it a pleasant experience. BLT's perfectly mixes American and Dominican flavors, and it's a gem in Lynn. It's a great spot with reasonable prices and free Wi-Fi, plus they offer delivery. Whether dining in or taking out, the food and atmosphere are worth it. I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place!
Los Chamos Venezuelan Cuisine
227 Union St, Lynn
(781) 595-0500
Nathan Ngele
If you're a fan of Venezuelan food or if you’ve never experienced it before, you have to visit Los Chamos Venezuelan Cuisine for breakfast in Lynn. The food here is as authentic as it gets! Everything is fresh, and even the fried items are remarkably light and not greasy at all. One of the highlights of my visit was meeting the owner's mom. She was preparing all the food and personally brought it to our table, sharing wonderful stories about her country. It was my first time trying Patacon Pisao, and it was absolutely delicious. The Venezuelan coffee was another treat—light yet full of flavor. The place itself is cozy, with excellent customer service. Mrs. Doris is incredibly friendly, which adds to the charm of the place. The entire staff is super kind and helpful. The food reminded me of my grandma’s cooking, and my boyfriend's mom enjoyed trying different dishes from the menu. The caraotas and papelon con limón were divine. The cheese is homemade and genuinely Venezuelan, and the pork, which is slow-cooked for eight hours, is a must-try. The owners are more than willing to go over the menu with you and ensure you have a wonderful dining experience. This amazing place is a must-visit for truly authentic Venezuelan cuisine.
El Nopal Restaurant

Great service and super delicious food! I love how juicy the meat is, and the taste is just so good. There's a lot to choose from on the menu, and you really can't go wrong with this place. The steak torta was tasty, though I did get some fatty pieces at the end, which was a bit of a bummer. However, the chicken tacos were incredibly well-seasoned and delicious. The El Montañero plate was a good portion and quite filling. I'm definitely coming back to try the pupusas and tamales. The food is extremely well-seasoned and fresh, and the service provided by the staff is very friendly. Prices are average given the inflation, and there is some seating available—enough to accommodate. Don't let the exterior fool you; the food is authentic and delicious, and the service is great. I highly recommend this little restaurant.
Red's Kitchen + Tavern

Amazing! The food was amazing! Our server was amazing, and he was able to explain our menu options! I would give it 5+ stars! Thank you all, and especially William K, our server. Our evening was made perfect here. Great location with breakfast! The food and cocktails are made to perfection. Servers and bartenders are fast and courteous! All specialty cocktails are delicious! When we arrived, a trivia event was going on. We ordered a pistachio martini and a drink that was something on a snowbank. The pistachio martini was very good! Then we ordered a crock of French onion soup. The entrees were a Hawaiian Bowl and the Pear Salad. The soup was good, and while the Hawaiian Bowl was plain, the grilled veggies made it pop. It just needed a bit more of something for flavor. The Pear Salad was good, but if the pears were cut up or not rock hard, it would have been better. The server was very sweet and funny. We sat at the bar, and it had a great atmosphere with how the bar is lit, the decorations, and how the alcohol is displayed. Service was great, checked in multiple times, and was very friendly. Made our drinks like a pro! Plenty of options on the menu, from heart-healthy to greasy and delicious. Portions were medium/large-sized for the price. Overall, the meal was a hit, and I would definitely come back to try breakfast and lunch.
Rollys Tavern on the Square
338 Broadway, Lynn
(781) 599-2160
Devon Dudley
Rolly’s Tavern on the Square is a fantastic spot for breakfast or a night out in Lynn, MA. The food and beer are both excellent; I especially loved the bar burger and calamari. The atmosphere is upbeat, and they have live music on Saturdays, which kept me at the bar longer than I planned. It was my first visit, and I’m already looking forward to many more. The staff at Rolly’s Tavern really make the experience memorable. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the Manager, Kristen, and our waitress, Marina, was attentive throughout the evening. The kitchen staff did an amazing job with our meals. We tried the Chicken Milanese special, and it was so good that we suggested they make it a regular menu item. Rolly’s is definitely one of my favorite places to watch a game and enjoy a cocktail. Their loaded tater tots are a must-try! The customer service is always top-notch, with friendly and welcoming staff. I’ll be back for sure and will recommend Rolly’s Tavern to anyone looking for great food and service.
The Lido Cafe
112/1 N Federal St, Lynn
(781) 595-9833
Ana Hodges
The breakfast at The Lido Cafe was absolutely delicious! The bartenders, Alice, Caitlyn, and Jenn, truly make the place feel like home. They’re the best! This spot also serves the best pizza around, especially with the buy 3 get 1 free deal. I always go for the meatball and caramelized onion pizza, while my friend Shanny orders the fried clams. The wings were small but tasty, and the waitstaff was outstanding. If you're a fan of seafood, try the fisherman's platter for two. It's packed with more whole belly clams than any other platter I've seen, plus it comes with an onion rings-only option instead of fries. The haddock, clams, and shrimp were great, but the scallops were the highlight for me. At $40 for two, it's the best value you can find. Parking is easy with a lot in the back and street parking in front. The place might look more like a bar than a cafe, but it’s wonderful. Our waitress was very nice and understanding. I loved the fries and can't wait to return.
Red Line Cafe
188 Essex St, Salem
(978) 744-2235
nan Shappell
During my first trip to Salem, I stumbled upon a gem—Red Line Cafe. I had almost given up on finding good coffee and breakfast, but this place was perfect. The service was impressively fast despite the crowd, with the line being no issue. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. The food was fantastic. Both the sandwich and the PB&J crepes were delicious, and the coffee was the best I've had in a while. I enjoyed it so much that I returned for day two in Salem. The food remained top-notch, and the staff continued to be friendly and quick, always busy yet managing everything so smoothly. The buffalo chicken wrap was the best I've ever had. The staff greeted me warmly and were incredibly polite, even reassuring me about food allergies. It was great to see a mix of international patrons enjoying their meals, proving it's a spot for everyone. The cafe is kid-friendly and easily accessible. I wholeheartedly recommend Red Line Cafe. It's an absolutely amazing place to eat, with a convenient location that's easy to find. 20 out of 10, highly recommend!
El Gran Jaguar Restaurant
228 Union St, Lynn
(781) 842-4635
Leona Farah
After my son's soccer game, we decided to try something new for lunch and ended up at El Gran Jaguar Restaurant. We were so glad we did! This little "hole in the wall" is definitely a hidden gem. The decor matches the vibe perfectly and adds to the charm. We were initially drawn here after my dad saw a video online and it exceeded our expectations. We ordered the churrasco chapin, house plate, birria tacos, and quesadillas. Every dish was delicious, with fresh and tasty flavors, and the portions were just right. This place is a great spot for Central American food. A friend had mentioned this restaurant on Union St, and when I stopped by, I was impressed by the unique and colorful environment filled with cultural items. The waitress was friendly, and our food arrived promptly. Overall, it's an excellent restaurant with fair pricing, with a meal costing around $17 with tax. If you're in the mood for well-made Central American food, this is the place to go. Pupusas Wednesday was a highlight for me. They offer fresh, made-to-order pupusas with various fillings like shrimp, cheese, birria, chicken, and chicharon, which were extremely delicious and came with a cabbage slaw and sauce. The birria with cheese and the shrimp with jalapeños were especially amazing. I can't wait to try more of their variety.
Walnut Street Coffee Cafe
157 Walnut St, Lynn
(781) 596-1690
John Land
Walking into Walnut Street Coffee Cafe feels like entering a friendly haven. The warmth from the staff is evident right from the start, and their welcoming nature makes every visit special. One of the highlights here is undoubtedly their muffins—especially the cinnamon chip, which is a personal favorite. Trust me, you won't find better muffins anywhere else. The coffee options are fantastic, with a variety of fun flavors to choose from. I've only tried the iced coffees so far, and each time, I've been thoroughly pleased. It's worth noting that they don't serve lattes or anything requiring frothed milk, which was a surprise on my second visit. Still, the quality of the iced coffee keeps me coming back. Another great perk is the cash discount offered on orders, which is a nice little bonus. And there's the unique charm of live music and hearing stories from other visitors, making it a truly enjoyable spot. While they do tend to fill the cup to the brim with ice and may not always accommodate requests for less, the overall experience and the excellence of the coffee more than make up for it. If you find yourself in the area, this “home away from home” is worth a visit. Tell them Doug sent you!
Estefani's Restaurant
106 Union St, Lynn
(781) 842-1441
Cesar Lopez
Estefani's is my go-to spot whenever I'm in town, and it never disappoints. The birria tacos are simply the best I've ever had, and the drinks are always on point. The place can get busy, so service might be a bit slow at times, but that's understandable. The atmosphere is super chill, and there's even a DJ mixing new and old tunes, which adds to the vibe. I tried their white rice, red beans, and chicharrón, and it was all delicious. The steak had great flavor, though a tad dry, but still very tasty. The staff is friendly and accommodating, especially with my two-year-old, and they even seated us at a comfy table with couches. The drink flights could be stronger, but that's a minor point. I had a lit brunch here and can’t wait to come back for more tacos before I leave. Overall, Estefani’s is a must-visit for good food and a great time. 10/10!
