Paulette café

Paulette Café in Conroe is a charming brunch spot and a delightful experience overall. The servers are friendly, and the service is top-notch. The cute decor contributes to the cozy ambiance, making it a pleasant place to enjoy a meal. While cleanliness could be improved, it's a minor issue that doesn't overshadow the experience. The classic beautiful decoration, combined with delicious food, creates a feeling of being in France. The French music playing is a lovely touch. The staff, including the owner, are incredibly friendly and polite. I've been to Paulette Café several times, and I always enjoy both the food and the service. The lady at the front desk is extremely welcoming. One thing to note is that if you want to try everything, avoid going late on Sundays. Today, they ran out of croissants before 1 pm, even though they close at 3 pm. The pizza is good, with a fresh tomato sauce, but the crepes are even better, and the salad is delicious too. If you're a chocolate croissant fan, it's a must-try—definitely a 10/10. The crepes are amazing—soft and thin. In our group, someone tried the Nordic and found it scrumptious, while another had the chicken and bacon crepe and thought it was excellent. The French onion soup was described as the best since visiting France. I had the Nutella crepe with strawberries, and it was wonderful, with plenty of strawberries and a nice meringue touch on top. Another in our party enjoyed the French country breakfast, which came with a perfectly cooked over-easy egg and a pancake with custard and caramelized sugar, described as "surprisingly over the top yummy." The presentation of each meal was exceptional and pleasing to the eye. Whenever we visit Conroe for the Texas Renaissance Festival, our search for a great breakfast ends with Paulette Café as our new annual go-to spot. It's a refreshing change from the usual fare, and I highly recommend it.

A wonderful breakfast experience with excellent service! The coffee was pretty good too. My husband enjoyed the chicken & waffles, while I had the avocado toast, which was delicious and definitely worth ordering again. The decor, filled with photos of men and women who served in the military, adds a special touch to the place. We've visited twice now, once last weekend and again this weekend. Both visits were fantastic. Last weekend we tried the biscuits and gravy as well as cheese curds, and everything had great flavor. This weekend, the hatch chile burger was a standout, and the biscuits and gravy were just as good. It was truly an honor to dine here, celebrating our military and community. The service was amazing, and the food was incredible, even for us picky eaters with food allergies. Everyone in our party was impressed, and we are already planning our next visit. The atmosphere, covered in memorabilia, perfectly captures the spirit of this gem of a spot. For our meal, we started with the White Queso with Steak and house-fried chips. For lunch, we had the Crispy Chicken Tacos, Steak Breakfast Quesadilla, and the Kids Waffle. They easily accommodated our changes and requests. For spice-sensitive diners, I recommend asking about spice levels, as some items have a bit of kick, like the Spanish rice. An unexpected highlight was when the live pianist played the National Anthem, and all diners stood up to sing along. It made for an awesome moment during our meal. Highly recommend stopping by, especially when traveling through the area.

The Wheel Cafe is a cute, little, and quiet spot for breakfast that I absolutely love. The little touches, like the babies breath on the tables, make it special. They even gave me a snake plant cutting, which was a nice surprise! I tried the salmon caper breakfast sandwich with potatoes, herbs, and tomatoes. At $17 each, it's a bit pricey for breakfast, but totally worth it. This has become one of my favorite local brunch restaurants, and I visit several times a month. The food is superb and definitely a step above typical brunch fare. Plus, everything is beautifully presented. The menu may not be as extensive as some places, but I always find something new to enjoy when I'm not ordering my go-to Traditional Breakfast. The dining area is pleasant and laid-back, nestled in the lovely Piney Woods of Conroe. It's always a relaxing experience and never feels rushed. The prices might be on the higher side, but you definitely get what you pay for, and it's worth it to me. The menu is healthy, with everything made in-house, and their bakery items like muffins and empanadas are amazing. It's a must-visit for locals! I also tried the breakfast bowl with added smoked salmon and avocado—perfect for someone like me trying to eat healthy with lots of protein. They don't skimp on the veggies or the protein. The coffee was incredible, the service was great, and the environment was clean and beautiful. The Wheel Cafe is a hidden gem for those seeking a healthier, homemade option.

We loved it here! The people at Montgomery Bakehouse are incredibly friendly, and the sweets are divine. Everything is reasonably priced, and there's plenty of seating to hang out and chat with friends. I especially appreciated the community microwave for heating up treats. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we'll definitely be coming back for more. I needed a cake for my wife to celebrate her reaching the halfway point in her marathon training, and Montgomery Bakehouse really came through. They crafted the whole cake for me in just 24 hours, which was impressive. The atmosphere is inviting, with plenty of snacks and coffee available. Just the smell of fresh-baked goodies is fulfilling—so many fantastic takes on popular pastries! We often use Montgomery Bakehouse for our important events, like weddings and baby showers. This place is on point, even if you’re just dropping in for coffee and a kolache. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the baked goods are consistently delicious. The Italian cream cake is a favorite, and the carrot cake was a huge hit for my aunt's 70th birthday. Nana's birthday cake, a simple vanilla, was another success. This bakehouse never disappoints!

Summer Moon Coffee in Conroe is a perfect little shop with a relaxing vibe that I absolutely love. Every time I visit, the service is outstanding; the baristas are always patient and take the time to explain the different iced coffee options. Their Moon Milk, a signature sweet cream, is both delicious and perfectly balanced. Whether you choose to enjoy your coffee through the drive-thru, on the outdoor patio, or indoors with comfy chairs, high tops, or tables, the experience is consistently enjoyable. The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready with recommendations, which is great when I'm undecided. The Winter Moon Latte is a personal favorite—it's super creamy and delicious, and I can't resist getting it every time I go. Having been to the Austin location years ago, my experiences there were a mixed bag, but the Conroe location has consistently captured my loyalty. While other locations may have had their hiccups, this one in Conroe stands out with its nice staff and amazing drinks. It's the only place, besides a spot in San Diego, where I've found a delightful frozen hot chocolate. Their Moon Milk is particularly amazing, and I'm crossing my fingers for a new location in Willis! This shop has become a must-stop for me whenever I'm in the area.

I visited Red Brick Tavern for breakfast in Conroe, and it was a delightful experience! The music set a great tone for the meal, and the atmosphere was lively and fun. My son was kind enough to take me out, and we enjoyed the lovely setting together. For my meal, I ordered the Tavern Burger, which was the best I've had in quite some time. We shared a pulled pork sandwich that was absolutely delicious and sweet potato fries that were tasty, though the portion was a bit small. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, which added to the positive vibe. Even though we were there during the day, I noticed there’s live music in the evenings, which sounds like a blast. The decor adds charm, and the bar and stage are impressive. I heard great things about their meatloaf and am definitely planning to come back to try it. We did run into a small hiccup at the end with our bill, but mistakes happen and I’m hopeful it will get sorted soon. Despite this mix-up, I highly recommend Red Brick Tavern for its delicious food and awesome atmosphere if you’re in the Conroe area.

Black Walnut Cafe in Conroe offers a unique, speakeasy vibe with delicious comfort food options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I've been dining at this place since it opened, and it continues to impress me with its cozy, relaxed atmosphere, even though I now lean more towards lighter, brighter spaces. The restaurant is always clean, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The hot chicken eggs Benedict is a standout, and the manager and staff are quick to ensure customer satisfaction, replacing a less-than-perfect white chocolate danish with an amazing chocolate one without hesitation. On my first visit here, I was impressed with how knowledgeable Madison was about the menu and how quickly our food was served. The Club sandwich had extra crispy bacon, and the fresh fries paired perfectly with the cayenne ranch. Katy, our server, balanced attentiveness without being overbearing, and the manager, Miguel, ensured our drinks were always full. This restaurant is spacious, and its dedication to maintaining cleanliness is evident. Despite a slight delay in receiving my food, which led to it being a bit cool, all other aspects of the dining experience were spot on. I will definitely return for another delightful meal.

Ok, fair is fair, here we go! The Whistle Stop Cafe offers a charming breakfast experience in Conroe, capturing an antique Wild West vibe that's really appealing. There are plenty of parking spots, which is always a plus. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by the nostalgic feel of the decor. The servers, aside from one, were genuinely nice and greeted us with smiles, which made the atmosphere pleasant. Although we had a few hiccups with our order, the staff was approachable and willing to address any concerns. It seems like some days are better than others, but when it's good, it's absolutely amazing. The breakfast menu has some solid options, and we enjoyed most of what we ordered, even if a few dishes needed a bit more seasoning to really stand out. The cafe does have room for improvement, particularly with cleanliness and service speed, but the overall feel of the place and the friendly staff make it worth another visit. It's one of those spots you try once to see if it matches your taste. I’m looking forward to giving it another shot in the near future.

If you're looking for a quick, light, and delicious meal, Galindo's Bakery + Deli in Conroe is a fantastic choice, even though it's located inside a furniture store. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The Italian grinder is huge, definitely big enough for two people, with plenty of meat and freshly-made bread. My "ice love you matcha" was perfect, and we couldn't get enough of the blackberry chocolate chip cookie and the fig cream cheese pastry—both were absolutely delicious. The place is clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly, which makes the experience even better. I'm definitely planning to come back for lunch and to try more of their menu. The cafe inside American Furniture Warehouse offers really good homemade food with fresh, quality ingredients. The cinnamon rolls are awesome, and the sandwiches are not just delicious but also huge. If you stop by Galindos Elixir bar on 1488, you'll find creative and tasty craft cocktails in a chill and inviting atmosphere. The sandwiches here are amazing, and the prices are reasonable. My wife and I split a 12-inch sandwich and still had leftovers for a second meal. The amount of meat on the sandwich was impressive, and the bread was toasted perfectly but still soft and buttery. The side of Russian dressing with my pastrami and Swiss was just magnificent. While it's counter service at the furniture store, the atmosphere is pleasant enough, and the food is definitely worth it. We were just furniture shopping and decided to grab a quick bite, and what a pleasant surprise it was. I ordered the turkey Reuben, and my husband got the Italian grinder—these sandwiches were on par with Tony's! Huge portions that we could have easily shared. We'll definitely be returning!

I had a wonderful experience at McKenzie's Barbeque & Burgers in Conroe for breakfast. While I’ve had mixed experiences there in the past, this visit was truly delightful. My mom and I decided to try their breakfast menu after noticing it on a previous visit. My mom was served first, and once she finished, my breakfast arrived. It was definitely worth the wait. We've also heard great things about their BBQ, so I took a family friend who was trying BBQ for the first time. We ordered a 3 meat dinner and a 1 meat dinner. Both were delicious, and we even had leftovers to take home. McKenzie's truly impressed us with their tasty offerings. I’m looking forward to going back.

While I am new to the area, La Madeleine has always been a favorite of mine. I recently visited their Conroe location for breakfast and, despite its unassuming storefront, which felt more fast food than French bistro, I found the experience delightful. The service was outstanding—everyone was friendly and attentive, and my food came out quickly. I opted for the café sampler, which included a quiche lorraine, mushroom soup, and a strawberry bacon spinach salad. The salad was freshly made and tasty, though it was missing the feta cheese. The soup was hot and flavorful, but the quiche was a bit cool from sitting under a heat lamp. My husband enjoyed his chicken la Madeleine, although he noted that the portion size seemed smaller than usual. We also tried the strawberry Nutella crepe, which held a special place in my heart since my dad used to make crepes when I was a kid. Unfortunately, this one didn’t quite hit the mark for me, with uneven fillings and toppings. Despite these small hiccups, we’ll definitely be back for the exceptional service and dishes that met our expectations. The restaurant wasn’t crowded, there was plenty of parking, and the atmosphere was cozy with both tables and booths to choose from. One standout was the DIY mimosa, served with a little bottle of champagne and a small jar of orange juice, making it feel special. The menu offered plenty of options, and we also enjoyed some pasta and crepes for lunch, which were delicious and just the right portion. I appreciated the self-serve coffee station and the free bread with a variety of jams. Although the ordering process can be a bit confusing at first with the cafeteria-style line, once you’ve got your food, everything flows smoothly. Overall, I highly recommend this spot for its great food and warm atmosphere.

My first visit to Hunger Crush Café for breakfast in Conroe was a pleasant surprise. Nestled among other eateries, I was surprised at how quiet it was for a Saturday night. Despite the calm, the service was excellent, and the food was both warm and tasty. I had the Chicken Parmesan, which was satisfying and came with three pieces of garlic bread—a nice touch to the hearty meal. The chicken was delicious, and the pasta was equally delectable. A standout feature of this café is the all-day breakfast, which offers plenty of options, including vegetarian dishes that my friend appreciated. I loved the pumpkin cappuccino and the chicken and waffles, both of which were delightful. The prices are reasonable, with my Chicken Parmesan costing only about $15, which is a great deal compared to other places. The atmosphere is cozy, with a spacious indoor area and a smaller outdoor patio overlooking the lake. I chose to sit outside to enjoy the pleasant weather and the slight breeze from the lake. My server, who had tattoos, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and checked on me throughout my meal. The bruschetta was also a hit, and although the food took a bit longer to arrive, the server did his best to make up for it. I also tried the Hunger Crush burger, which tasted fresh—the caramelized onions and cheese skirt were perfect additions. The fries were hot, fresh, and had a great kick of salt. I love that the café donates to a local food bank when a meal board is purchased, offering diners a chance to help crush hunger locally. Overall, my experience at Hunger Crush Café was excellent, and I look forward to returning. It's a great spot for a casual meal that also supports a good cause.

What an absolute gem! Make sure to stop in before the kitchen closes at 3. The food and atmosphere is cozy, and there are so many fun items on the menu that you'll have to stop by again and again. It's such a great place to meet up with someone. I highly recommend it, 10/10. They serve breakfast all day, and the food is delicious. The staff is friendly, and there are so many pies to choose from. The dining room is nice, and there's a cute outdoor seating area for when it's not too hot. I love that they have salt and pepper grinders on the tables instead of shakers. This spot is much more than a pie shop! They also have a cafe for lunch, offering coffee and tea. The patio is perfect for enjoying when the weather cooperates. There’s a huge selection of pies, cookies, and salads. I'm already planning to return soon for their breakfast and mimosas! Keep up the great work, Pie in the Sky Pie Company! Conroe’s own pie company not only creates fantastic pies but also offers a great spot for lunch. I had breakfast at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in Conroe, and the experience was quite delightful overall. We ordered Grandpa’s breakfast and Boy's breakfast with two sides. While the seasonal fruit was missing and there was a mix-up with the apple cobbler, I found the food to be delicious. The buttermilk pancakes stood out as possibly the best I've ever had, living up to their reputation. The variety we tried, including fish, chicken, French toast, pancakes, and lemonade, was absolutely delicious. Although the service could be improved, particularly in terms of attentiveness and timing, the quality of the food made up for it. The soft, flavorful biscuits and sides were particularly noteworthy. While the grandma sampler plate didn’t come exactly as expected due to the chicken being a lunch item, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the pancakes were enhanced by the maple syrup. The bacon was slightly overdone for my taste, but the overall meal was satisfying. Visiting the country store was enjoyable and added to the experience. The grilled chicken, fried chicken, fried okra, dumplins, and salad were tasty, with the biscuits being a standout. Despite a few service hiccups, the meal was enjoyable, and I would recommend trying the pancakes and biscuits here.

My husband and I enjoy visiting IHOP in Conroe for brunch on Saturdays. We have our favorites, but I like to try different dishes each time. My husband sticks with the breakfast sampler, which is always a safe bet as it offers a bit of everything. This time, I opted for the tomato soup with toasted cheese, although I didn’t eat the cheese. I also tried the turkey bacon avocado sandwich, which was flavorful and had a nice crunch on the outside, while still being moist inside. My husband enjoyed half of it too. Their orange juice always tastes fresh. Although we had to wait a little even though it wasn't busy, the food was worth it. Typically, I order French toast at IHOP, but this time we weren't too hungry, so we shared a jalapeño cheeseburger. It was surprisingly good and cooked perfectly. The place was clean, and our waitress was friendly, which added to our pleasant experience. Whenever I crave pancakes, IHOP is my go-to. We celebrated National Pancake Day there, enjoying a tower of pancakes, delicious coffee, and a tasty omelette. I appreciate that I can order my coffee just the way I like it. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making it a great spot for breakfast with family and friends. Despite a few hiccups in the past, IHOP remains a place we frequently visit. Carla S was attentive and ensured we had all we needed. Destiny was hilarious and down-to-earth, and the food came out quickly. Katie was friendly and quickly fixed the issue with my eggs. The service has been consistently great, though I did have an issue with the coffee once. It was old, and when I asked for a fresh cup, I got one with lipstick stains. It dampened my coffee experience, but not enough to overshadow the overall positive experience. The food is delicious, and the dining area is always clean. I will definitely be back and recommend asking for Destiny as your server. 10/10 would eat here again.

Oh, Panera Bread in Conroe, you’ve truly made my mornings brighter. When I’m looking for a good breakfast spot with WiFi, Panera is my go-to. The Toasted Garden Caprese sandwich I had was flavorful and satisfying, a great start to the day. And let's talk about the convenience of having a place where I can grab a bite and get some work done without the Starbucks vibe. The atmosphere has a relaxed feel that makes it easy to settle down with my laptop. Yes, it can get busy, but the staff is generally friendly and quick to help. I’ve had the chance to chat with the catering team, and they are professional and efficient, ensuring that all my orders are spot on. While finding an outlet can sometimes be a challenge, the food and service more than make up for it. It's a reliable spot for grabbing a meal and a coffee while catching up on emails. And when it comes to value, I've found that for the quality of ingredients, the pricing is fair. Panera Bread may not have every detail perfect, but the positives far outweigh any minor inconveniences. With delicious food and a good environment to work in, it’s a spot I’ll keep returning to.
