The Chef's Hut in Boise is a hidden gem tucked away in an older business park. It may not be in the most convenient location, but the homestyle food and service make the extra effort totally worth it. The restaurant was bustling when I visited, but the staff was efficient, friendly, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. They offer a vast menu, with particularly great breakfast options. One item I'd recommend trying is their orange cinnamon roll. It's served before your meal, and it's just delightful. The Biscuit, Pancake and Breakfast Burrito are decent, but the standout dishes for me were the Chicken Fried Chicken and Pork Chops. The proportions are generous, and the food was delicious. However, the hashbrowns were a little cold, as were the Gravy and Eggs. My server's attitude was a bit off-putting, but not enough to spoil the overall positive experience. What I love most about The Chef's Hut is the authentic, friendly atmosphere. It offers a refreshing contrast to the usual chain restaurants and cookie-cutter menus. This place gives you a proper, hearty breakfast without making you feel like just another cog in the machine. So if you're ever in Boise and looking for a local joint serving excellent food with great service, give The Chef's Hut a try. I absolutely loved my brunch experience at Egg Mann and Earl in Boise! The homemade biscuits and gravy were to die for, as was the fresh fruit bowl - perfectly thinned for easy eating. I ordered the Veggie Benedict with extra smoked salmon, and the taste was absolutely incredible. Our waitress was an absolute delight, always sure to check in on us and ensure we were enjoying our meal. The scone we received at the beginning of our meal was a wonderful touch - incredibly tasty! And the decor inside only added to the wonderful experience - absolutely entertaining and family friendly. I'm visiting Boise from PDX on a road trip, and stopping here was such a great decision. The service was simply exceptional! The staff is so friendly, making jokes and ensuring everything was perfect for us. The food, oh the food! From the warm scone to the incredible flavors in our meals - everything was flawless. The diner itself is quirky and full of character - it's not every day you see Fabio in a bathroom! If I'm back in town, I wouldn't miss coming here for breakfast. The bacon is home smoked and absolutely delicious! All in all, amazing service and food. A special shoutout to Jessica for taking such good care of us! We sampled a variety of dishes - the sausage was our top pick followed closely by the hangover potatoes. Everything we tried was incredible and we're already planning our next visit. We had amazing service from the entire staff - always friendly and efficient. And did I mention the complimentary scone? Goldy's Breakfast Bistro is always our top choice for breakfast whenever we're in Boise. The food is beyond exceptional, and the service is just as superb. If it's your first time, you must try their Andalusian Eggs; it's a unique and delectable dish that you'll only find here. This time, I opted for the spicy chicken and bacon Benny which was simply mind-blowing. Not to mention, the exquisite frittatas just add the cherry on top. You really can't go wrong with any choice! On another note, be careful where you park. We thought two hours would suffice but ended up with a parking ticket. There was an hour wait to be seated, and another hour for our food, totaling 2.5 hours. Despite the long wait, the food arrived hot, and the friendly staff were attentive. While the ambiance is cute and cozy, cleanliness could be improved, particularly upstairs and in the bathrooms. Nonetheless, the charm and atmosphere make it a lovely place to dine with my family. Don't miss the Eggs Benny and mimosas. The place almost feels like a trendy New York spot, with its gritty, dark and crowded atmosphere, yet surprisingly clean. For a hearty breakfast and a touch of city life, Goldy's is the perfect spot. Just remember to leave the hand wipes in the car.

I finally had the chance to visit Red Feather Lounge for brunch and I'm so glad I did! I started off with the Kouing-amman and a side of berries, topped off with some maple syrup - it was the perfect mix of flavors. To drink, I opted for the Venetian Mimosa, transporting me back to the Mediterranean! The prices are reasonable and there is a great variety on the menu. This has to be my favorite brunch experience in Boise yet! ❤️ The staff deserves a big thank you. I was impressed by their friendly and efficient service. The restaurant itself is cozy, spread over two floors with plenty of space. I tried the eggs Benedict and waffles, while my husband went for one of their skillet scrambles. We were both really pleased with our choices. Our friend enjoyed his chicken and biscuits as well. The Rancheros Verdes caught my eye and I was not disappointed - the dish was bursting with flavor! I can definitely see myself ordering this again. My friend had the Salmon Benedict and seemed to be enjoying it just as much. We made a reservation in advance, but I don't believe it's necessary. Don't miss out on the outdoor seating if it's available. And let's not forget about the most important part - the drinks! At Red Feather Lounge, they are simply amazing. Add to that their unique and delicious food, and you have a winning combo. Whether you prefer sitting upstairs, downstairs, at the bar, or outside, you will not be disappointed. I recently had a fantastic brunch at Fork in Boise. The outdoor seating area was marvelous, creating the perfect atmosphere for catching up with local friends. Inside, the space was a bit cozier but just as delightful. Upon a friend's recommendation, I tried the fried asparagus and let me tell you, they did not last long on our table. The grilled cheese fondue and asparagus fries were another hit, bursting with flavor and well-executed. Our server was quite friendly, ensuring we had cold water on a particularly hot day. The bar inside was imposing, and the outside area offered a fantastic spot for people watching. Although the place can get busy, our wait time was around 15 minutes which was pretty reasonable. One of the standout dishes for me was the Boise Chopped Salad or BCS with smoked salmon. The salmon was smoked to perfection and paired excellently with the arugula and white cheddar. Despite its deceptively light appearance, the salad left me feeling fully satisfied. The decor and ambiance were pleasing, and our waiter was personable without being overbearing. Despite the restaurant being a bit noisy, due to its architectural design, it didn't dampen my experience. While the wait staff could have been a bit more attentive and the meat needed a bit more seasoning, I appreciated Fork's commitment to sourcing from local farmers and ranchers. I've already made plans to return and explore their dinner menu. If you find yourself in downtown Boise, I highly recommend stopping by Fork. The fantastic food and pleasant atmosphere make it a must-visit spot.

Moon's Kitchen Cafe in downtown Boise is a gem, offering an amazing brunch experience. Full of fantastic flavors and hefty portions, you're sure to leave satisfied. Everything from their homemade juice, fresh beignets, and an extensive selection of delectable entrees is exceptional. The staff are particularly welcoming and offer excellent service. Be sure to get in early on weekends as it can get busy. The charm of the place is really accentuated by their rolling chairs, a unique and fun touch to the restaurant. Their beignets are divine, especially when paired with the homemade honey butter. The variety in their dishes is a treat. Whether it's crispy hash browns loaded with sausage and mushrooms, or a delicious chorizo omelette served with fresh pico de gallo and a variety of hot sauces - there's something to satisfy every palate. Their "Moon baby", a delightful cross between a pancake and a crepe, is something my daughter thoroughly enjoyed. The raspberry compote that came with it perfectly-sweet and fresh. It's the perfect spot for a special morning treat. I spent a lovely morning there with my wife, enjoying the atmosphere and the food. My favorite dish has to be the eggs benedict, while my husband can't resist their lemon ricotta pancakes. They also offer delicious espresso for caffeine lovers. Without a doubt, Moon's Kitchen Cafe is my favorite breakfast spot in downtown Boise. They offer a wonderful brunch experience that leaves you filled, satisfied, and planning your next visit.

The Capri in Boise is an amazing place for brunch that I've been overlooking for too long. Despite its unexpected location next to a motel, the staff is incredibly attentive and the restaurant is popular among locals - a testament to its quality. The food is fantastic, with a great selection for classic breakfast lovers. The venue has a charming, old school vibe and their biscuits and gravy as well as their large omelets are standouts. I was taken by surprise by the massive size of their delicious cinnamon roll. Plus, they offer a 10% discount if you pay with cash, which is a nice bonus. The servings are generous and everything is fresh. Take their claim of the best biscuits and gravy in Boise with a pinch of salt, as I found the gravy lacking sausage pieces and flavor. Nevertheless, Capri is a great brunch spot that I will definitely visit again.

I recently had a wonderful brunch at Trillium Restaurant in Boise. The ambiance was delightful and the service was top-notch. Although the fish was a tad overcooked, the chicken and waffles were absolutely incredible and I would highly recommend them. The bloody Marys were likewise excellent. Prices were on the higher end, but the superb service made it worth it. We decided to share a meal and the server was considerate enough to bring out two plates with full servings of sides on each plate. Certainly, I'd be happy to return for dinner. Trillium's breakfast options are particularly outstanding and stand out among the city's best. On a recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised by their new menu additions. The Ranchero Chilaquiles were hot, fresh, and delicious. The breakfast burrito and accompanying Cajun potatoes were equally enjoyable. Convenient and complimentary valet parking was an added bonus. Kass, our server, was not only friendly but also insightful, suggesting one of the best appetizers I've ever tasted - smoked trout poutine. It was a delightful combination of shaved parmesan, micro cilantro, and perfectly cooked fries topped with smoked trout and gravy. I've been to Trillium twice, both times having the pleasure of being served by Lishu who was amazing and always offered helpful meal suggestions. I would definitely recommend this spot and downtown Boise in general. It's a fantastic place to be!

I had an incredible experience at The Griddle for brunch in Boise! The food was bursting with flavor and the portions were considerably large. I'm yet to be let down by this city. Keep up the fantastic work, The Griddle. The restaurant is bright and they cook all of their meals from scratch. I had the crab Benedict with scrambled eggs instead of poached, and chicken fried steak, and both were really good. The kids enjoyed their pancake. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. On my first visit here, I must say it was outstanding. A big shout out to the chefs who prepared some of the best breakfast food I've ever tasted. The atmosphere was inviting and service was top-notch. I can't wait to return!

I stopped by Wild Root for lunch before heading out of town. As a health-food enthusiast, I appreciated the selection of wholesome ingredients. I ordered a hot drink with turmeric and the Keto bowl. Unfortunately, the excessive amount of turmeric made the drink a bit grainy and the bowl could've used more seasoning. However, the plating and presentation were quite appealing. The staff at Wild Root handled my concerns with grace, even making the generous decision to comp my bowl. Their fantastic customer service truly stands out. During our vacation, we visited Wild Root twice. Each time, we enjoyed the healthful, flavorful dishes. However, they could be more consistent with their food presentation. For instance, an order of two poached eggs arrived as one full egg and another that just contained egg whites. When I brought this up to the staff, they courteously offered to prepare a new egg, though I was surprised that they missed out on providing a complete yolk the first time around. The avocado toast with tofu scramble is a must-try. Their service really stands out as does their flavorful and innovative menu options. Regrettably, my overall first visit at Wild Root did not quite meet expectations. The dishes are inviting in appearance and aroma, but the freshness of some components fell short. The potatoes in the Ahi Tuna dish and the chicken in the Risotto didn't taste as fresh as I expected. Their cocktails are tasty, my favorites being the "Lavender Daydream" and the "Fog Lifter," though they are a bit pricey. The staff was friendly and fairly well-versed with the menu, even though they could be more attentive to the dining area instead of their mobiles. Despite some initial mishaps, I still enjoyed the overall experience at Wild Root. The presentation and the commitment to healthy, flavorful food, in addition to the commendable service, make it a pretty worthwhile eatery in Boise.

I highly recommend Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar in Boise. My wife and I are self-proclaimed foodies from Seattle, and we were thoroughly impressed by our dining experience here during our honeymoon. We were pleasantly surprised to find out they had just started a happy hour from 8-10pm on Thursdays - we took full advantage, sampling everything on the happy hour menu, food and drinks, and were amazed at the quality of each dish and beverage. We also celebrated our 22nd anniversary here and had another great experience. We tried the crispy brussel sprouts and the Cast Iron Pimento Cheese Dip as appetizers before ordering the Bourbon Peppercorn Glazed Meatloaf and the Sriracha Honey Chicken and Waffles for dinner - all were extremely delicious and well-prepared. The atmosphere is homey yet trendy, the perfect blend that makes you feel comfortable but still in style. The service was excellent and the food was always tasty! I also highly recommend the in-house made cold brew. We will be regulars at this place every time we visit Boise, and I can't wait for our next visit. The food, service, and ambiance are top-notch. If you find yourself in downtown Boise, do yourself a favor and stop by Tupelo Honey - you won't regret it!

I absolutely adore Waffle Me Up! As a fan of liege style waffles, this place blew me away with their freshly made, hot to order waffles that were honestly the best I've ever had. The owner's warm hospitality extended not just to me but even to my dogs. Trust me, it's worth a pretty long drive for such an excellent brunch. It's now my top breakfast spot whenever I have company visiting. The waffles, crafted to perfection every single time, and the beverages, always made exactly how I want them, are unbeatable. A definite must-try when in Boise! Plus, the staff are super friendly and even their original waffle with an egg was mouthwatering. I can't wait for my next visit!

I recently had a delightful brunch experience at the Original Pancake House in Boise. Despite being packed, they managed to serve everyone efficiently without compromising on the quality of their food. With a generous selection of meals, I was particularly impressed by their large omelettes, especially the Green Chile & Pepperjack Cheese variant that my husband ordered, which was stuffed to the brim. I also enjoyed their French Crepes that were loaded with fresh strawberries, strawberry puree sauce, and a generous amount of fresh whipped cream. Every pancake lover would appreciate the great flavor of their pancakes. I found their staff very friendly and it was nice to see the owner frequently on-site, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The atmosphere was relaxed, giving the feeling that there was no rush to leave. For the kids, they serve hot cocoa in cool mugs, topped with lots of whipped cream, which my children absolutely loved. The pancakes and bacon were served warm and tasty, coupled with warm maple syrup. On a slightly critical note, I found the service to be average and if you require something like coffee, you might have to seek out a server yourself. In terms of your seating arrangement, be prepared to be placed in a back room where the service might be a bit slower. Overall, the food quality was above average with a casual, easy-going atmosphere. Not outstanding, but definitely better than average. I am looking forward to trying out their lunch menu.

I had a great time at Elmer's Restaurant in Boise, ID. We popped in after the Boise Balloon Festival and it was quite busy with a 45-minute wait, but thanks to an electronic beacon, we knew exactly when our table was ready. Our server, Jeff, was outstanding. He was friendly, professional, and quite impressive physically! Most of us ordered omelets and my sister had the eggs benedict. Although the food wasn't as flavorful as I had hoped, the biscuits were hot and fluffy which made up for it. The dining experience was pleasant, primarily because of Jeff's fantastic service. He really deserves a good tip for his hard work. So, thanks, Jeff! I also have to mention Zabriell, another server who was just amazing. She had a wonderful attitude, a great smile, and made sure our food was perfect. We ordered the Crabacado and the Crab Benedict, and I personally recommend the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. On one visit, I was a bit disappointed when the Avocado Benedict came out nearly raw and the English muffin was not toasted. The server, Adelle, was abrupt and tried to microwave my plate when I complained, but it was not a great solution. Putting that incident aside, I've found Elmer's to be a hidden gem in the Treasure Valley. Especially, if you try the delicious German pancake. Another server, Jeffrey, was exceptionally friendly, punctual, and knowledgeable about the menu. I'm eager to return to this underrated restaurant soon.

Eddie's Restaurant in Boise stood out to me as a fantastic local brunch spot. Instead of opting for the usual big brands, I ventured into Eddie's and was pleasantly surprised by its delightful 1950s theme, a true homage to the American and Idahoan experience. I tried the "Idahoan" dish and was impressed by the generous portion size, a refreshing change from shrinking fast food servings. The waiting staff were not only efficient but also extremely personable, contributing to the warm and friendly atmosphere. The 1950s car-themed décor caught my attention, yet the noise level remained pleasantly low despite the packed premises. Eddie's has quickly risen to one of my top 5 breakfast spots in Boise. The food, notably my delicious Chicken Fried Steak smothered in gravy, was incredible and reasonably priced. Special mention goes to how they treat their Senior citizens; with genuine love and respect. To sum it up, Eddie's provides a fantastic dining experience with an array of tasty food options. Their heartening approach towards customers, coupled with the unique theme and ambiance, sets them apart. Eddie's is a must-visit for anyone seeking a top-notch brunch experience in Boise. I recently visited BACON Boise for brunch and was thoroughly impressed. This local spot serves up both classic favorites and innovative dishes with a twist, like their bacon cinnamon roll - a must-try for any visitor. From the menu to the drinks, everything was high quality and simply delicious. The place can get a little busy at times so it's best to get there early if possible. They operate on deli-style service, so you place your order at the counter before being seated. This means no reservations, but trust me, it's worth the wait. Expect generous portion sizes, perfectly cooked. My teenage son, who usually isn't a big breakfast fan, got the burrito which was enormous, yet he nearly finished it all. We also tried the bacon flight and enjoyed all five varieties. It's a nice touch that you can buy bags of different flavored bacon to take home. My order was the Benny Hill breakfast, which was recommended by a family member. It exceeded my expectations and was a great value. We dined on the patio in the midst of June. I found the place to be very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The name BACON says it all. Once I figured out the order process, I got the Benny Hill with added bacon. Despite it being a self-service place, it provides a wonderful dining experience. While I was surprised by finding okra in my potatoes, it turned out to be a delightful combo. The staff was friendly whenever I interacted with them. While the concept of self-service was novel, it may not warrant the suggested 20% tip. That said, the food was fantastic and the experience was fun. This is definitely a place I'll visit again. I highly recommend BACON Boise for brunch!

I had a delightful brunch at Blue Bench Brunchette in Boise. The food was beyond amazing and the friendly waitress added charm to the whole experience. The mimosas were splendid, which I highly recommend. I opted for the renaissance ham omelette and the chorizo omelette along with home fries and French toast, capped off with huckleberry crisp pancakes. Their diverse menu is ideal for all types of eaters, providing options for vegan, keto, or gluten-free diets. The child-friendly Pancake Pasta from their kid's menu won over my youngster. I'm yet to try their mimosas, but they've never disappointed me food-wise. If you're planning to visit during the weekend mornings, be prepared for a crowd. However, the buzz seems to settle down towards noon. They also offer a spectacular item called the mimosa flight which we couldn't resist and shared. My prosciutto fig omelette was a solid 8/10, loaded with flavor. The pancakes were pretty good, earning a 7/10. The real star was the potatoes, garnering a 9/10, thanks to their perfect seasoning and cooking. My husband’s 12-hour smoked brisket was a hit, tender and full of flavor, while the biscuit and gravy were decent enough. The mimosa flight was a perfect 10/10, its presentation and taste won us over. In a nutshell, despite being a bit pricey, Blue Bench Brunchette presents an innovative yet straightforward brunch experience. I was glad I ventured out of my regular brunch haunts, although I'll still revisit my favorites occasionally.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Richard's Restaurant & Bar for brunch and it was a delightful experience. The quality and presentation of the food were impressive, with the clams and halibut dishes served to perfection. There was a slight hiccup with the pork dish arriving undercooked, but the issue was promptly resolved. The atmosphere was wonderful and relaxing, just what you need for a brunch outing. The waitstaff was generally pleasant, although a few minor oversights such as forgotten water refills occurred. On the bright side, they excelled at pairing a terrific red wine with my meal. I went with out-of-town guests and we all enjoyed our meals. We also celebrated a birthday and the staff went out of their way to make it special with a sweet treat. I particularly enjoyed the tomato soup and grilled Caesar salad, and my halibut was delicious. The brunch options were equally enticing. The eggs Benedict and breakfast sandwich were absolutely amazing and filling. I was delighted by the add-ons available with the bloody Mary. Despite a couple of minor food-related issues, such as my boyfriend’s ribeye somewhat underwhelming for the price and my father’s scallops being fairly small, the overall experience was enjoyable. I look forward to revisiting Richard's for their delicious brunch and warm hospitality.

I recently had brunch at Black Bear Diner Boise - Entertainment Ave and it was a wonderful experience. The food was incredible, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The decor is thematic but tastefully done, not too overbearing. Our waitress, Carrie Ann, was a pleasure to interact with. She was friendly and offered some really good menu suggestions. I always enjoy my visits to Black Bear due to their tasty food, affordable prices, and excellent service. My only request for them would be to bring back the Linguica sausage on their menu. The restaurant was busy when I visited with my family but we didn't mind the short wait for our table. However, there was a bit of delay in getting our drinks organized and getting our food order in due to some confusion in the kitchen. Despite this minor hiccup, the management handled the situation as best as they could. Overall, regardless of the small speed bumps, I found the experience at Black Bear Diner Boise - Entertainment Ave to be enjoyable. The large portion sizes, good quality food at reasonable prices make it one of my favorite breakfast spots in town. The pancakes are a must-try! I'm already looking forward to my next visit and would definitely recommend it to others.

I must say, despite a few hiccups, the Riverside Grill still holds a certain charm for me. The food, on most occasions, has ranged from good to great. Their salmon, although a bit on the small side, was enjoyable nonetheless, as were my other dining experiences. Perhaps the most impressive feature of the Riverside Grill is its breakfast buffet. It's the stuff dreams are made of - a spectacular display of culinary delights. The live music during dining adds a special touch, creating a cozy and cheerful atmosphere right in the lobby of The Riverside Hotel. And if you're a fan of bacon, you're in for a treat. Their burger is piled high with such thick slices of bacon that it could easily be a meal on its own. The Boise burger is a bit of a hit and miss as the juice tends to overflow, but the fries could do with a little more seasoning. Their carrot cake is a bit of a surprise too - it's actually a frozen cake that's dolled up to look fresh. As for their dinners, the first time I tried it, I was quite pleased. The filet was flavorsome and the parsnip mash and sauce that came with it were delightful. Desserts are another strong point with the prickly pear creme brulé and carrot cake being particularly noteworthy. The portions are decent and the pricing is fair for the most part. However, it's unfortunate that the customer service is not as impressive. During one visit, we found the staff ill-prepared for a busy conference day, which resulted in a disappointing dining experience. My advice: just bear with the occasional service issue and focus on their delicious food. Despite these drawbacks, Riverside Grill's brunch is a must-try experience in Boise.
